In All Fairness.......

For months I have read on this forum the insults and false accusations by the members of this forum about the men who left and started another "island" just for them. I am speaking of JP.com.

I think it is COMPLETELY unfair that this is allowed here. They DO NOT allow the same on their forum. If it is said then there is actions taken to put a stop to it. I know this because I am a member and my husband is a moderator there.

The reason they started their own forum is that they wanted a place to go and be able to discuss certain things and not be accused of misrepresentation or ganging up on the "poor saints and aints". They go there and discuss their take on scriptures and standards and many other things. They fight, they get banned, the don't see things eye to eye. But they did not start their forum because they thought that they were better than everyone else. They wanted to be able to do their own thing and have a place to do it.

They don't trash us over there. I think, we being CHRISTians and all, ought to do the same thing. Afford them the same respect that they give us.

And BTW, my hubby didn't put me up to this. The thread that Mark started did... it's getting a little bit old.

And not CP, I don't think it's one bit funny. I think it's rude and unchristian.

He should have done it in another way. He's got phone numbers. He knows who to call. All this does is cause strife and contention. There's no call for it.

If he has access then use it there and clear it up, don't come over here and start stuff.

I couldn't agree more. (Might as well give Mark a reason to keep me on his cranky list.. right? :D )

Do they allow UPC bashing, or bashing of conservative values?

What I found funny was NOT the insults.
What I find funny is that some don't believe Mark reads at JP..........and then he has a thread he about what I wrote over there LOL THAT IS FUNNY!

it's funny how just the mention of the name Mark, gets some all stirred up THAT IS FUNNY.

I will agree with Sis. Coonskiiner that the owner of jp DOES NOT allow AFF to be ripped over there by its members.

JP was started so preachers could go and have a place to talk.
I don't see what was so wrong with that.

Mark cleared my name on the forum. That is much easier than making 30 phone calls and sending 200 PM's, isn't it?

What will their policy be when Jon Suber, TFT, Kenneth Phillips, Joe Hunt, John Ragsdale and other compromisers (tic) become AFF members?

Sorry I misunderstood and stand corrected. Thanks for clearing that up.

I agree, I don't understand why people have a bee in their bonnet about preachers having their own forum. They need to have a place where they can talk and discuss ministerial ideas and stands. They don't have to be worried about offending a saint in another church. That's why they have their OWN forum. What they say to one another is one thing, but what they "say" to another saint in another church is another thing altogether.

True, but don't kid yourself to think it's all that private.

Even though it's a closed forum that anything written with that many people involved isn't truly "private" - that's all I meant.

In all fairness, there will always be a small amount of contention between JP and here. We were all a part of one group, then some left. Hard to ever have a completely clean break.

Things have been said from both sides.

LCS, I have no control over what people say here about JP forum.
Some people were hurt by the actions that were taken and the reason why they think JP was formed. Many here feel that JPs believe they are better than the people here and view those who left as arrogant. I know that is not the reason why JP was started I'm just telling you that is the peoples perspective who don't understand it.

Anyhow, I'm not allowed to post on JPs. That's fine, but I did want to clear my friend of the false accusations that were being hurled at him on JP. I proobably could have contacted your husband but I honestly didn't think of it at the time. It did not cross my mind.

The rest of that thread was really done in fun even CP got a big kick out of it.

I apologize for upsetting you LCS.

Mark,

It seems you have a flair for the dramatic.

Better? Arrogant? I honestly doubt anyone feels that way.

And, it's my read that no one is hurt over it either. It is what it is. Aff is what it is.

I'm not a minister so I post here and couldn't care less what they talk about on jp.

I think MANY here could care less what happens at JP, Mark. But some of us understand you can't post there. So you have some friends there that make sure you know some things, and then you can post it here, so you can stir the pot. But you try to act innocent most of the time and get upset when you are called on it. That is why some don't take you seriously when they should, and do when they shouldn't.
