Momma Mia

Perhaps I am a victim of male menopause.

Never thought I could possibly enjoy a movie that was either a chick flick, musical, based solely on the music of ABBA, much less ALL three.

Recently came out on video.

Makes me smile every time I watch (three so far, another record).

Also has one of the best "cougar" scenes in the history of courgardom.

I wondered if this was good. Is it pretty clean?

Me too! I detest the movie theatre experience in general, but get dragged into one about once every 10 years. So, for this decade, it was "Momma Mia".

The best part for me was after story is over, and the credits roll on the black sceeen. Amanda Seyfreid sings "Thank you For the Music," JUST voice and piano. That song was about the most gorgeous musical experience I can remember. A sound system that big makes a huge quality difference, too.

Why in the world would you even think it might possibly be a good idea to post something like this on this forum? Are you trying to stir the pot?

Well, I've decided I don't want to be a cougar - I'd look younger if I'm with someone older than me - lol!!!!!

I heard good things about this movie too-

Except for the cougar part, that was new to me.

It was one scene and don't want to be a spoiler but the cougar did the rejecting.

In a manner of speaking yes, yes it is.

I saw it with my sister when it first came out. I had the songs stuck in my head for days. It was okay but I wasn't impressed enough to buy it on DVD.

By Christian standards, NO, not clean.

By Hollywood standards, yes, relatively clean, meaning no violence, minimal profanity, and nudity only amounting to beach bikini scenes.

So, in AFF parlance: if you're a Con, don't go--you will backslide. Lib? No problem. Moderate? Better not, unless you're sure no Cons or Libs will ever find out.
