I am sitting in my den watching it snow in Louisiana! My backyard is becoming a winter wonderland. If I can get Renda to help me ( as I am picture challenged) I will post pictures. I know that you northerners do not get excited about snow- but we do down south. The schools are closed and they are telling everyone to stay home!! Wooooo ! I am going out to make a snowman!:snowing

It's snowing in here at my house in S. La. also. I just took about 20 snapshots. The snow flakes are HUGE and beautiful. My youngest granddaughter who is 8 years old has never seen snow so she is overly-excited. I had to smile and thank God for this 'miracle'!! Really, I thought.."Only God can make something so white and beautiful from ugliness". My lawn was brown & ugly, the trees had no leaves and today they are beautiful again.

my FIL has been running non-stop with his wrecker since 1am this morning. 5 wrecks so far and still counting.


snow is both beautiful and good for business if you own a wrecker in the south!

I moved to S.W. Louisiana from a very northern state years ago. I couldn't have awakened to a more welcome Christmas present than snow on the ground, cars, roofs and still falling! :christmasfire

My mom lives in Denham Springs - she just called - all covered in white there too! She wishes all of her grandkids were there to play in it :-(

We got about 4 inches of snow- Of course the city has shut down- no school , no one is going to work. My mother is in the hospital, my niece was determined to go and meet with the doctors- so she left in the middle of the snow storm. She said there were 8 wrecks on the interstate on her way to the hospital. So you see why they close everything down when it snows down here. It is sleeting and raining now.

WE are about 100 miles south from Alex. - I don't think they got much snow- they may have gotten a smattering. Funny thing- south LA got the snow.

No - that's in your photo unless you are using the ice blue skin and it snows - The Mrs. did that.
