People ought to know, I guess... I mean if your part of the organization (although organization's aren't biblical) and he's your general superintendent (although general superintendent isn't a biblical term)... maybe you have a right to know. Why, faithfulinlittle, do you ask? Do you not wear a wedding ring? What are your thoughts on the matter?

You just think your watch is cheap. Mine cost $6.87 at Walmart. I have never paid more than $8 for a watch. I used to wear the little plastic ones that you could get for less than $2 until they stopped carrying them in stores. Now who's cheap? LOL

The times I have seen Bro. Haney, he did not have on a ring. I have not seen him since July 2008.

Your question is a vaild one. There are many ministers in the UPCI that do not wear rings. Then you will see some that do and remove them before going into church or at least remove them before going on the platform.
Reason being they do not wish to cause conflict or destory another ministers work. They do not hide the fact that they wear one.
I wear my wedding ring and remove it while on the platform. I do the same at any church I attend.

I'm not married but I wear my great-grandmother's wedding set on the 2nd finger of my left hand. My mom gave it to me about 20 years ago when she figured out I wasn't going to get married any time soon. She made me promise I'd wear it all the time. And I do.

As for watches, what are those? Isn't that what a clock radio, computer, cell phone or BlackBerry is for?

No, he doesn't wear a ring - neither does his wife - as far as his watch - I think you're wrong on this as well. He is a very frugal man. He would not wear a rolex or any watch like that - probably a timex.... :christmoose

SweetPea is absolutely correct! If you really knew Kenneth Haney you wouldn't have to wonder if he wore a ring or an expensive watch. A nice watch may have been given to him but I can assure you he would never spend the money to purchase one. I've known the family for more than 60 years and they are as financially conservative as you can get, believe me. Some of his BIL's and I used to trade funny stories on how "frugal" Kenneth Haney is. :)
