Share Your Christmas Gifts!

Here is a place to post pics of your Christmas gift/s.

For those who don't observe Christmas in this way - share your winter solstice or other gifts. ;)

Please share!

The Hoovers may be the only ones who don't keep the secrets till Christmas...

Kristin loves occasions but rarely can wait for the day, so things usually happen a bit early around here. The kids keep the larger presents but open small items a week in advance.

This year my wife has booted (or is in the process of doing so) my home office out of the house, so we are furnishing the new office with some essentials... :)

I'm getting a big black Coach purse and black Coach gloves from Eddie. I got to pick them out at the Coach outlet in CA a couple months ago. I can't have them until Christmas though!

It's always a hassle trying to figure out what to have my parents give me for Christmas. Last year it was a purse. This year it's a pair of shoes:

My dad did say this was a very nice selection.

Most of my gifts y'all can see here. A picture album of my grandkids. A calendar with pictures of my grandkids. A couple pair of very soft socks, pink Dallas Cowboy slippers. (Don't ask me, my son gave them to me). I really don't like pro football. But I will wear them.:christmoose A new digital camera, a christmas coffee mug. Money$$$$$$$. And the most important one, spending time with all my family!!!!!!!!!!!!:christmasfire

P. S. And I forgot to add, I got some great fudge and other chocolate goodies!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for reminding me.......

There was this game table online that I've been watching for weeks. It started out at $159.00... the price had slowly declined to $89. I had just about given up. I saw your post this morning, and remembered that I'd saved the link to the table. I prayed that it would be within the price range I could afford today, and opened the link. The price had dropped to $49.99!!!!!!!! So Michael is getting the foosball table he never asked for... but always loves to play every time he sees one at someone else's house. :D If you hadn't made this post, I'd have never remembered to go back and check the price again.

I got $500 from my mother... I spent it on my girls. Christmas is about kids and their wishes... I have a daughter who is working this year, and I have a gift under the tree... and it is from cracker barrel...so she probably got me something cute for my house.

I plan to buy myself a coach purse if I can ever get down to the Coach outlet store.

Kewl. So did you get it??

Here is my confession... My wife is good... no, she is very good at foosball! I can't beat her, so I insisted we get a shuffleboard too so at least I have a fighting chance. :)

Uh... a screwdriver?? I guess that's OK as long as it's a cordless impact or something such... Otherwise you got... well, never mind!

Please don't feel too bad Scott. In spite of the materialistic fashion I started this thread, I am acutely aware that the best gifts are not in a package. Hold those you love close and thank God for keeping you safe and warm.

Wind chills are below zero as I write this - and I am off to tuck the kids into warm beds. Thank you Jesus!

NO! lol I got her to knock a $100 off the painting though. :santathumb

Don't say, "Why didn't she give it to you for Christmas?" You don't ask an artist to give you their work. I bought it for myself. :D

Oh I see. I was really only asking if it will be mounted on a stretcher or if you will matte and frame it for display.

It is a beautiful piece of work for sure.

I thank you for her! I love that style of painting.

Yes, I will matte and frame it for display. I'm supposed to pick it up mid-January at a wedding. She told me not to buy a frame until I have the picture in hand. :santathumb

She took a photo of that fountain in San Antonio. It has brass birds flying around the fountain. My mother went to school there growing up, so that is the significance of the painting. She said she was honored I would love her piece. I was honored she sold it to me!

My daughter and her husband really surprised me with something different this year.

She got me brunch at the Peabody (on my birthday Jan 11) with my dad and his wife and then tickets for us to the Home & Garden Show. She said she didn't want me to be alone on my birthday - - wasn't that sweet?

The church gave me a huge basket with goodies in it. A really nice one from the napa wine country.

My Brother and mother went and opened it and ate all the chocolates out of it
