WHAT!!Burger King Releases meat scented colonge!

Flame, a body spray for menEDDIE MULHOLLAND

Just in time for the festive season, the company has released its very own men's body spray, Flame.

Not recommended for vegetarians, Flame is being promoted as "the scent of seduction with a hint of flame-broilled meat".

While the smell itself might not inspire confidence, the price will.

Flame is on sale for the credit crunch-busting sum of just $3.99 (£2.65), suggesting the Burger King promotions department has realised their contribution to the fragrance market might work best as a novelty stocking-filler.

Flame, a body spray for men, was launched this week online and in a selection of US stores – it is sadly not available in the UK, and now even has its own website, the appropriately named firemeetsdesire.com

So I take it from the responses that the smell of hot broiled meat is not an aphrodisiac for women?

Whew I just saved $4.

I made the mistake of going to the website where this "Flame" "cologne" "spray" is advertising. And there is a picture of "the King" there that I wish I could scrub out of my head with brain bleach. YECH.

It must just be a guy thing then because I believe the "King" commercials started as an NFL thing with the "King" intercepting passes during the game and running it in for a touchdown (and they were usually pretty well done).

They are similar (but nearly as well done) as the "Real Men of Genius"/"Real American Hero's" Budweiser commercials.

I was already married when this stuff came out, but I made the comment while watching one of the many axe commercials that if this stuff worked HALF as well as it is portraid, it could literally sell for $10,000 a half ounce.

"BOD", the predecessor to "AXE", worked very well as cologne, clothes freshener and air deodorizer!

That stuff was the best!

Yeah, that King mascot looks creepy. His face does not put me in the mood for a whopper.

Yes Bod works well and it is reasonably priced.
I love Old Spice but my wife says that is a old man scent.

A couple of weeks ago, my boyfriend's cat stopped eating. (She's dying of mouth cancer anyway, it's a long story.) My boyfriend was concerned that the end was coming. But, he wanted to make sure. So he stopped by Burger King and got her a Whopper, as she loves the patties.

Anyway, he got home with this burger, and the cat was not interested. Rather, she wanted the chicken breast he had already cooked for her. He got it out, she chowed down, and the crisis was averted. So my boyfriend called me up and said, "What do I do with this Whopper?" My response, "I know you have a thing about throwing food away. I have the same thing. But I'm not sure that's 'food.' I think you'd be safe in throwing it away if Hey Guy [cat] is not going to eat it."

I don't like whoppers, but their Stackers are excellent! Especially the "Triple Stacker" meal.

And who cannot love the Rodeo Burger?
