chip prayers? and do you double dip?

Okay, I have to admit that I am a Post Chip prayer.. :angelsad .. I mean, I sit down at the table and there we all are talking, laughing or in a heated discussion already and the chips are already there... We are munching, dipping and enjoying the fresh guacamole and pico de gallo....AND then our food arrives.... We all stop, and say "oh yeah, we need to pray"... and so we do... and we do this every time just about... :blush .. am I unthankful? no! just a post chipper oh, and do you know how many times I've eaten that chocolate and not ever said a prayer...:thebunny but God knows my thankful heart!

oh, and I have to admit that I am a hypocrite when it comes to double dipping. I don't mind it but I wait to see who does what... Certain people I will double dip with but others I WILL NOT! :stop It's wrong, I know... It's judgemental, but how do you feel about it??? okay, mostly I only double dip with my hubby..... and I will order my own salsa when I'm out with others, so if we ever have dinner together, you don't have to worry about me double dipping........ you won't even have to worry if I do or not! just order your own.... :nutso

...but don't be upset if my chip finds it's way into the green sauce and then jumps into the cheese dip before it lands in the guac!

Really? And they claim to be Pentecostal people? I thought Pentecostal folks were all about the food! Perhaps they should examine their hearts and get their priorities straight. LOL

ok, I'm back. Bedtime Stories was cute. Nothing special. But cute. And only one bad word and no sex. Imagine that!!

But I had to watch it by myself because I took Keith and my niece Chelsea (Keith's best buddy in the world) and Chelsea had already seen it. So they went to see The Unborn instead. Yuck! I hate horror movies.

They had no chips at the movies, but I did eat popcorn. and I snuck in my own mini-M&M's. I love sweet and salty together. Mmmm

Years ago.............. I repeat, years ago........... we went to see a movie and we had little money.... so, I had to sneak in my food. We had cheeseburgers and fries in my purse... we coulda ate before the movie but we were late as it was....... but it was one of those things that you look back and laugh on....

Hey, don't blame ya for taking your own M&M's..... times are rough.... paying 2.50 for them is robbery!

Was there a thread about pre/mid/post chip praying before? I'm having serious deja vu, here.

Speaking of guacamole, mine is good. Really good. I've had people say it's the best they've ever had.... and one of them was Mexican!

OK, who's comin' over for chips and guac? :lol

(Caveat: I don't measure, and it turns out different every time. Almost always good. ;)

Mmmmm GUAC!!!! The best guacamole I ever made was on the mission trip we made to Mexico one year. We bought a big onion sack full of avacados from some guy walking down the street, took them back to the church, mashed 'em up and made the guac. And oooo la la!! It was some GOOD guac!

No but seriously, I'm a post-chipper... If people are pre-chippers, I don't mind, just don't make me feel unspiritual for not typically praying until the entree (some people have given me that down-pointed eyeglasses look for not praying before the chips, bread, or if at the 99 popcorn)...

I have to agree, Cindy.........it's almost as good as chocolate... give me chips, guac and some chocolate and I am the most pleasant, nicest person around... Take my guac away, I'll be upset.... Take my chocolate....and we gonna fight!

For some reason, we always eat chips andor bread and then pray over the rest of the meals. I've never figured out the logic, but it seems to be the norm. I wouldn't think of eating the salad or appetizer without praying! Such creatures of habit we are!!:nah

oh, speaking of bread....... I ate at Johnny Carino's the other night and they have the most delicious bread and dipping sauce! MmmMmmMmm!

do you pray over dessert???? Hmm... I hate to admit it but, if I just grab a cookie........I don't pray....... but if I sit down at Olive Garden and order a cheesecake, I pray....
