The Apostolic Church Inc.
Sad state of affairs. Here's what I think Church should really be like... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54KrKj7wMJU |

Aquila, that looks very appealing and it makes sense.

Terrifying actually. I wonder how differently my life would have gone if I hadn't gotten frustrated and quit looking for a church 9 years ago? |

When I was saved at 23, I told a man at the church that I remembered him from High School. I told him that I always knew he was a Christian. All those years I definitely was not! When we talked a few days after I was Born Again I asked him why he never invited me to church. I told him I wondered how my life might have been different if he ever had. It broke his heart. I did not mean to; I was just talking; but it really got to him. |

It is completly documented and sourced and is very challenging. It explains why many of us are disgusted with "church" and "denominations." DON'T READ IT IF YOU CANT HANDLE BEING CHALLENGED. |

Re: What if Starbucks Marketed Like a Church?
Why does it seem every Pastor wants a "Mega-Church" and this corporatized structure?

Re: What if Starbucks Marketed Like a Church?
The only just cause I can see for the "nice building" is that it lends a certain credibility in the community. Its built, its not going anywhere. Kind of like the bank that you deposit your money in... it is built to show strength, character, and trust. You put your money there because you believe it will be there when you need it.
This is about the only cause I can see for the "nice building". It allows people the opportunity to find "a spiritual bank" when they need one. Hopefully our reputation will have them stop by ours first.... |
