Five Generations

Does anyone have any 5 generation photos? If you do please post them for us more curious [nosey?] posters.
Thanks in advance.
Raven

If not 5 how about 4? ... or 3? ... or ? I feel like Abraham!

Well, here is a 4 generation pic. My grandma, my dad (my ma wasn't in AZ for this one), me, and my son. My wife was taking the picture.

Oh yes, and our other 'boys'.

Too late for me. My Grandparents and Parents are already gone! Maybe if I can stick around long enough (or my sons get busy and get married) I can be IN one! :D

Randy, I didn't realize you had a human son. Seriously! Why did I think that your only "kids" were your dogs?

Nice picture, by the way!

Temp Thread -Work in Progress

This Five-Generation picture was taken mid-August 1983. It includes my late paternal
grandmother (the first of our family to obey apostolic truth). My late father and I are
standing behind Grandma Lizzie and our firstborn, holding her firstborn. He was
two weeks old. This "baby" is now 25 yrs. old and is a licensed minister, assisting in
the church his great-grandparents founded in 1958, fifty yrs ago, Nov.2008.

http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l7.../Falla5Gen.jpg

This is our first grandson (in the 5-Generation picture!, who is 25 yrs old now. He
and his precious wife just observed their 5th wedding anniversary Jan.17, 2009. We
have 19 more grandchildren that share the same heritage this grandson possesses.
We have a goodly heritage. It was NOT by accident. That little grandmother took a
stand for truth when no one else in her family did. Later many did come in).Thank you,
Dear Grandma Lizzie, for the "STAND" you took, not only for your children but for your
eldest granddaughter and her family. You and I (and others) can stand because of the
ONE who lives inside us. King Jesus, who sits on the thrones of the hearts of
those who will welcome and receive Him there.

http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l7...laGrandson.jpg

The theme of our 50th Anniversary Celebration of the church our late parents
founded, was "The Power of the Past, The Present, and The Future". The picture
of the "Five Generations" of our family, represents the PAST. The picture of our
eldest grandson and wife, represents (part, but not all. There's a WHOLE bunch
more) the PRESENT!. It's not hard to see why there is Hope for the FUTURE! We
look forward to this Future Hope, in Jesus Name! Our Hope in the FUTURE is in
the same God that was in the past generation, and is in the Present generation,
and will be in the generation of the FUTURE (Psalms 14:5) "God is in the genera-
tion of the righteous". "And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs
according to the promise". "One generation passeth away, and another generation
cometh: but the earth abideth for ever".Eccles.1:4.

http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l7...Falla50Fam.jpg

The above picture from our recent "50 Anniversay Celebration"
represents an overlapping of the PAST, blending with the PRESENT,
and the bringing in of the FUTURE! Reminds me of Abraham, Isaac
and Jacob. Three generations. A three fold cord is not easily broken.
But allow one cord (generation) to be broken and you could suffer the
the loss of a generation, or more.

We have a great crowd of witnesses coming up out of the wilderness of this world
who will one day join that great CLOUD" of witnesses that has gone before us. It
will be a Great, Glad Reunion Day.

Eternally grateful for His Blessings,

Falla39

Four generations. This was taken over 40 years ago.

left to right:
My mother (now dead)
Me, holding our oldest son Chris
My Grandmother (Mom's Mother) holding Kevin, our second oldest son

Well, you'll just have to take it by faith.
It's too large to add as an attachment and I can't copy the url in Photobucket.

I've used Photobucket for posting pictures before, but for some reason, it doesn't seem to work lately. Oh, well, that's why they call them confusers.

The Mrs

Thank you, Sis. Hot Coffee Ms.

I can honestly say that there were some difficult days in my
past, but they passed. There have been difficult in my present,
but they have and continue to pass. There no doubt will be some
more hills and valleys before we get home. One thing I know and
am assured of, He who has brought me safe this far, is the One
who will see me safely Home.
After all the chaff is passed away, only the pure gold will remain.
If you search "remain", (that which remains after the other is taken
away), you'll find the world "mansion". Wonder if they're made of
"pure gold"! Gold purified in the fire. (afflictions, trials)

My children are 5th generation.. my neice's kids are 6th.... I thought about this when I was in church this past week with them.

I don't have any pictures past my parents because my granny and great granny passed when i was just a kid... we really didn't think about pictures like we do today.

Sister, don't we only count the Generations if the Grand Parents and Great grand parents are still living? I can only go back as far as my dad, because my grandparents are deceased.
We have four generations living though.

No because we could then (technically) say that we are all thousands of generations. :)

Cindy if you mother is deceased, you would only count you, your child and grandchild, that would be three generations. :thumbsup

I'm not quite sure what happened there. I was trying to JUST quote Cindy.

And for purposes of THIS discussion, your right, you don't count the deceased. I wonder what the record is for generations still alive? 6? 7?

no, I am 4th generation, raising a 5th... My Great Grandmother was Apostolic...so was her daughter...my father.... me and my girls... and on my mother's side, my grandmother, my mom...me and the girls..

you don't stop counting generations just because they are deceased... my father is deceased...that doesn't make me a first generation Apostolic.

Re: Five Generations

I think we have two topics going on in the discussion.

Raven asked for five or four generation pictures. He didn't specify saved or not saved. Many people have multiple generation photos and religion doesn't enter in to the mix.

That being said, my grandmother and mother were oneness Apostolic. They were both baptized in Jesus name in 1935 in WI. I was baptized in 1960 and it too took place in WI, (although I never lived in WI.)

I couldn't find a date for the picture but based on my daughters size it would have been the fall of 1971.
