I noticed that justpreachers.com has been hacked, and a rumor reached me that it MAY BE destroyed.

There is always risk. That's why it's important to always back up or even better - subscribe to a server replication service. That way when (and not "if") you do get hacked you can wipe the old HDDs with a low level format and reinstall a good safe copy of everything that was lost.

The domain is disabled currently. Could be maintenance. Could be the registration lapsed. Could be a lot of stuff. Unless the birdies say otherwise.

this morning when i tried to log in to jp, there was a page up that said it had been hacked.

I suspect (though I dont know for sure) that there is some work being done to restore what was distroyed.

This is speculative, of course, but I've wondered at times who would want to do something like this. I guess there are many atheists and other haters of Christianity who might like to crash Christian websites.

Definitely something to keep in mind if/when I set up a site of my own one day.

Let the church say Aaaaamen!! :D

When it went down there was this freaky looking page that came up in it's place saying that it'd been hacked by Mr. Mero and Team Egy, and it played this ominous Arabian chant sounding music.

When the JP thing was forming up I was told that it was to be called JustforPreachers.com. I never saw a site by that name. I guess they cut back on the domain character length.

I've got two standing challenges to debate with a couple of different guys (at least I've assumed they're different guys) from JP. I'm still waiting to hear from them. Guys?
