actually we had a wonderful day and we are stopped in a little sea coast village close to where I preached the first time (25 years ago) in this state!

Please remember north brazil in your prayers...who knows maybe Elder Terry will send me a missionary offering to help these poor needy souls...:thumbsup

The term "elder" can refer to an office and not necessarily an age, although its origins would be in reference to men and women who are more mature and experienced.

I remember going to Niles, MI back in 1958 or 59. I was 20 or 21 years old. I went to a conference of The Church of Jesus Christ Pentecostal Faith. I was not licensed by them at that time. The host pastor and Secretary of the organization was Sis. Alta V. Johnson. She had taken over as pastor after the death of her husband. She was past 70 years of age and it just seemed kinda strange for her to speak about me as "Elder Ellis."

You are correct - not always about age, but in the church it should be with associated with wisdom..........not seeing a lot of elderly wisdom in this poster.
