UPC Ohio Camp 1980's

All on Facebook where so many of us have connected with so many old friends.

There is a page that started.

"I survived the Ohio Apostolic Campgrounds in the 80's"

If anyone on this forum went to Ohio Camp in the 1980's you might want to check out the page.

It is bringing back some great memories...

me? I was to sanctimonious to attend a UPC camp back then, dear God I may have gone to hell immediately, do not pass go, do not receive $200 dolars.

I give him a pass when he's fishing. I don't think about him when I'm painting.

Besides last night on our way home he said, "I'm glad I have a pleasant wife to look at. I wouldn't want to be married to an ugly woman." I burst out laughing! I had paint all over me. He must be in love! :toofunny

Hmm. I'd better not call that old. 7 years flies by, next thing you know you'll be calling me old by my same rules.

Where's the page?

I was there in the 80's. Actually taught there before as well to kids.

Never had the "privilege" to be a dorm Dad, though...not disappointed in the least. I got plenty of that @ ABI where I was a dorm dad. :D

Was this Murphysboro? My mom went in the 40's - she was a Kloepper. She talks about Roland Gardner and many others preaching the camps back then.

Are you related to Paul Kloepper? I think that's his name anyway. Can't remember where I heard him preach, but I think it was in this area quite a few years ago.

I'm a child of the IL youth camps of the 80's. It was where it is now, near Bloomington. I don't think it's much different now than it was then either!

I attended for 9 years from 1978-1986, but I think the last year I worked instead of camped.

Ah, memories.
