***HULU TV: An evil plot to DESTROY THE WORLD!!!*

The TV debate, lasting decades, is now over ... internet technology has made the recent schism from the UPCI ... that gave birth to the WWPF a moot point.

Was it worth it ...? Was it really about TV?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbLtLUwMTxg

an evil plot to destroy the world ... Enjoy.

www.hulu.com

Yes, every UPCI and WWPF MINISTER with an internet connection and a computer .... now has a TV ready device in their home.

Yes ... even you Larry Booker, "Dr." Reckhart, Doug White, Johnny Carroll, Evang. Benincasa, Steve Epley and others ...

Well, because you can do other things on the internet besides watch TV, as opposed to a TV which is only for watching, well, TV, then you have no point. Thus saith Evang. Beninesca. :D

LOL!!! I agree.

It would be like stocking your home library with good books, computer programs, PORN magazines & movies/TV on DVD, and then saying it doesn't matter because you only choose the good books and computer programs. :ursofunny

The argument is very lame. I'm just passing it along. :D

You mean, I can have all the porn (magazines) I want sitting on our end tables in the living room, but it's OK as long as I don't pick them up to look inside?

I done found myself a loophole!

I forget if Hulu is a Netflix streaming device or one that you rent individual movies for a fee?

No...make sure you put them in a cardboard box so you can't see the covers. You'll know they're there, but you don't ever have to open the box.

Neither. It's free.

I already watch our DirecTV DVR on my computer..... and can watch Netflix on the TV.... Seems like the lines have been blurred so much as to lose all semblance of there ever having BEEN a line in the first place.

So Wholehearted, Benincasa, et al, will have to make the right choice based on their principles and the Spirit of God dwelling in them ....

AFF, CAF or the Hollywood trash over at Hulu? :bigbaby

What are the repercussions to their manuals now that most of these org pastors HAVE A TV IN THEIR HOME?

Surely they are not going to throw away their TV ready computers?

It's like nonchalantly opening your front door... donning your wife beater and boxers .... strapped to 350 kilos of fertilizer, doused in nitric acid, while connected to a digital timer and fuse and telling the local authorities, SWAT, ATF, FBI, and NSA ... making a 3 block perimeter around your home ....

" No, I don't really have a bomb here ... *yawn* *scratch*... Any you guys have a light?"

Re: ***HULU TV: An evil plot to DESTROY THE WORLD

Our church has always been a 'no tv' church. Our pastor recently made the above points. We now all, for the most part, have access to television programming in our homes, or on our cell phones.

He said we'll have to treat it the same way we do music, books, etc. Does it dishonor God? Is it taking pleasure in evil doers?

In my personal opinion, that rules out a lot of television programming. ;)

Our pastor is not the dogmatic, send everyone to hell type, though.

This does give fuel to the fire of the preachers that preach against the internet. They'll feel even more vindicated in their position.

I personally hope the Body of Christ will grow up, and be able to discern good from evil on their own, and in their hearts have no desire to partake in evil. Really get to the heart of the matter. Wouldn't that be wonderful? If I keep looking at porn on the internet, instead of pitching the internet for everyone in the church, why don't we pray and figure out why I'm trapped by porn? (I'm NOT thank God! Just wanted to be clear. ;) )

You are right. I have been raised in churches that always taught against the ONE EYED DEVIL FROM HELL!

They were preaching against the technology, not the content! Then when the tech changed they are stuck. They need to preach principles of holiness, not ranting aginst technology.

Re: ***HULU TV: An evil plot to DESTROY THE WORLD

I've heard so much preaching (not at my church but fellowships) about how the devil is doing this and the devil is doing that.... now the devil has pulled a huge trick with this internet thing. I heard that exact quote "The internet is the biggest trick the devil has ever played on Apostolics."

My personal opinion is that it's not the devil, but God. I think God is trying to force his church to grow up.

My car can take me to church, and it could take me to strip joints. Since I have no desire to go to strip joints, my car has NEVER taken me to one. Just as my internet has never taken me to a porn site. I'll bet when automobiles were first invented, many preachers preached against them.

It's all about what's in your heart, it truly is. But it's easier for preachers to set rules than to work on the heart. That's why so many choose that route.

I'm not preacher bashing, though. Most of them are very, very sincere in their teachings. They truly want God's holiness to reflect in their churches. They are just going to be forced to change their approaches, I believe.
