I am not sure Paul had a beard. He was a good Roman citizen and Romans shaved.

Peter on the other hand would have likely had a beard down to his belly button (corners unmarred of course)

Paul was a jew. Roman citizen or not he probably had a beard. Remember they were surprised to find out he was a Roman citizen.

Now, dont get me wrong, I think the shave standard is silly and the only reason I shave is so my wife will kiss me. I hate shaving.

I just think Paul didnt have a beard. I have nothing but my own theory to support that assumption.

Paul was no hellenized Jew. He was only legally a Roman citizen. Being Roman citizen does not mean culturally Roman. It was a legal designation
