Narcissism

Take the Narcissistic Personality Inventory

http://www.usatoday.com/news/health/...sky-quiz_N.htm

I scored a 19. It's even higher then the average celebrity, lol.

I had scores in each of the component traits, but scored the highest in superiority.

I didn't think I was really that in love with myself (ha, a narcissist would say that). I think the reason I scored so high was because I try to view myself through God's eyes and not mine own.

It must be devastating for a narcisist to score below average.

It means you are even a failure at being a narcissist.

Narcissus was a handsome Greek youth who rejected the desperate advances of the nymph Echo.

As punishment, he was doomed to fall in love with his own reflection in a pool of water.
2 items. These tests are done using "introspection".
By definition a narcissist is less accurate in seeing themselves as others do.

On the side, I mention the reflection in the pool. Think about holiness and how time in front of the mirror for paint, lipstick and make-up typifies the current narcrcissistic movement.

In schools now they build self esteem and people leave jobs where they don't get their ego stroked.

In Maslows heirarchy of needs, the ultimate need is self actualization. Of course that is now externally shaped and inflenced.

Posting is narcisistic neutral. Expecting favorible compliments on the post is when it becomes narcisistic.

Having said that, you offered a rather pathetic generalization. What were you thinking?:gotcha

Re: Narcissism

Young says it is important to consider which traits are dominant. For example, an overall score that reflects more points on vanity, entitlement, exhibitionism and exploitiveness is more cause for concern than someone who scores high on authority, self-sufficiency and superiority, he says.
The seven component traits by question:
• Authority: 1, 8, 10, 11, 12, 32, 33, 36
• Self-sufficiency: 17, 21, 22, 31, 34, 39
• Superiority: 4, 9, 26, 37, 40
• Exhibitionism: 2, 3, 7, 20, 28, 30, 38
• Exploitativeness: 6, 13, 16, 23, 35
• Vanity: 15, 19, 29
• Entitlement: 5, 14, 18, 24, 25, 27

I'm an exhibitionist....but as I said before I swear I have never flashed anyone!
