Wow...I think I almost died today
 

This morning I woke up before 6 and was so dizzy and sick at my stomach...My head was pounding and I barely made it to the bathroom. Vomited and carried on, got back in bed and repeated the scene several times...It was not food I was vomiting...must be from my liver...I don’t really know...they wanted to take me to the hospital BUT as usual I thought I would live through whatever it was...well I don't remember but at some point I passed out and they called an ambulance to come get me or whatever...a doctor, nurse and a helper came...They hooked me up to an IV, took my blood pressure ( I don't remember this part) gave me shots and finally I came back around...they put this HORRIBLE tasting pill under my tongue...and put some more medicine in the IV...

My husband was scheduled to preach for Brother Thompson and I am schedule to preach tomorrow...so I told the doctor I was traveling in just a few minutes and she didn't act like she believed me one bit...lol..

So I asked them (my voice was pretty weak but my faith high) if any of them where believers or had connections with believers...the boy helping said his mother was a believer...so I told him to tell the doctor about us believers...I felt too weak...

She filled out some papers for me to do some tests which I might do next week...and checked me again gave me some strong suggestions...ha...


Well, tonight we are in a city a couple hours from our house where Brother Thompsons is the missionary and I am at a hotel...I really am pretty weak...but I am here and planning to be at his special service tomorrow.


The nurse from our church (sweet Sister Janet) called me from the hospital she works at twice...she did not think it to wise for me to come but I didn't have the heart to disappoint the ones waiting for us.

This old motor has lots of miles…and I haven’t felt good in a long time. Last night I preached a special youth service and it was so hot…
Anyway my family took some pictures and let me tell you I was treated at my own home…almost unheard of…first class….God is good.

Well, this explains why I woke up at 5:45 am on a Saturday morning feeling like I needed to be praying.

Please have the tests done.

Well, I have only one thing to say..........YOU ARE A TROOPER!!! I hope you have a good weekend and then go home and get the tests done. We need you to hang around for several more years!

I think it's a wonderful testimony that he felt calm enough in the midst of such a tragic situation to be able to grab his camera and shoot pictures. When they told me that Walt was dying 3 years ago, the last thing I could have done would be to take photos. I was much too distraught.

Sis, please know that we are praying. Take care of yourself. I know you feel that you have much work to be done but you have to be strong to do it. Don't wear yourself out. Get the tests done and get well!...Love ya.

I'm like that too. I take pictures of food. I take pictures of people taking pictures. (Got one yesterday of my wife taking a picture of someone taking a picture! :lol)

I was very weak this morning and my daughter in law spoke in the morning service for me...my nurse called twice telling me to stay in bed but I don't like the bed and am up and fixing to leave for the meeting.
I feel a lot better...thanks to your alls prayers. Myhusband got some pictures of last nights service and am sure he will take some more and my son got pictures this morning.

When the Lord gives us a car Brother Alvear and I want to travel helping the churches especially in the north. We rented a little car for this trip.

At some point I am sure God will give us a car however we have rode buses, planes. taxis and whatever...not owning a car has not slowed us down!

Another one of our churches in our area had a special youth service last night they called and said their service was awesome...so many good reports...no wonder the enemy does not like us...

My husband said he posted at CAF...I never go over there...but I do appreciate the prayers of the saints.

I once had membership over there but I feel unconfortable there...Here is my type forum....where we can be different and still be friends.

I think that a family is made up of many different types. My family had 8 children. One is deceased so can not speak for him but the rest are all different. I have one brother who does not attend church but lives it better than most who do go. I have two sisters who both go to church but are night and day. They both go to conservative oneness churches that are affiliated with different groups yet they think and act nothing alike. There is me who is rather liberal and not at all like any of the others that go to church. Last but not least my 3 brothers who do not go at all but would never argue against the truth of one God, etc.. They are also NOTHING alike.
So here we have 7 living and very different persons who are all related. All of them are loved equally by their mother, even if she can not remember them most of the time now. They argue and fight with each other over some of the stupidest things. Let me tell you though, DO NOT try and get in between them and talk bad about any one of them to the other. ONLY WE CAN DO THAT TO EACH OTHER. We would fight to the death for one another and would do anything we could for one another. We just do not agree on everything.
That is a family and what makes a family unique. I love it that we are not all alike. Life would be most boring if we were.

Sis Alvear, you have been in my thoughts & prayers & yet I believe there will be no retirement for you in the Kingdom.

You will give, until there is no more to give, & that is a major reason there is revival in Brazil.

That we would learn to give like that in N.A.!

Well, just got back to the hotel room where we are staying. Had a nice visit with the young people. They had cooked for us and Brother and Sister Thompson were so happy for us to be there and happy we are staying for tonght's service...we are blessed to have this couple working with us.

Brazil needs many couples. We would be happy to help couple get set up under our unbrella anywhere in Brazil...
