RC,

Tennesee is a long way from Utah. Sounds wonderful though.

How far are you from Chattanooga?

No, I didn't. I don't have my computer here so I use the motel computer when I get the chance.

Tomorrow is the big day, and I'm excited. I met Sherri and Renda today. Renda is crazy. She's also bossy, as OneAccord once stated. :D

Lisa called but I didn't get to see her before I left (I had another commitment elsewhere), but I'll see her and her daughter tomorrow. I met Darcie's husband briefly also.

I'll be taking lots of pics!

Renda just left for the church. I think One Accord and Raven are already there. Eddie & I are going at five. ForeverBlessed & her daughter Bekah and GraceAmazing are upstairs getting ready.

We met with Joy and her daughter Bekah (2 Bekahs!!) for lunch at Chick Fil A and shopped at several stores. Bargains! Woohoo!!!

We have dinner at five, and not sure what else it happening tonight, but I'll have my camera. I only have one picture so far that someone snapped for us at Chick Fil A.

We got all the food divided up and put in Sherri's freezer!

Once we talk a couple hours we'll probably break out the cheesecake and cobbler to renew our energy! My feet are killing me!

Can't party without food and drinks.. ;)

I drank enough sweet tea to last me for six months.. Going South gave me an excuse. :D I left IN and told Bekah, I get to eat/drink sugar... she raises an eyebrow at me... she knows better than to say anything... the south has the best sweet tea, and it is every restaurant.

I went into a taco bell, ordered some food and asked "do you have sweet tea" he was so sarcastic acted like I was a moron "yes...see..sweet and unsweet" as he pointed to the tea containers I hadn't noticed yet... I replied "sorry, I'm from the north, no such thing as sweet tea at a Taco Bell" :nah

LOL!! I hate tea, but my girls would love to have it pumped into an IV!

A gal I know who lives in the northwestern part of the country was visiting a few years ago. She called a friend from Applebee's in Tupelo, MS and said, "Guess what? I'm having sweet tea!" and we were cracking up. She said the same thing. You just don't get it in restaurants where she lives.

Cracker Barrel has it, but it isn't that sweet... McDonalds has it, but I do my best to stay away from it.. and it is very sweet.

I just used the trip as an excuse to try everyone's sweet tea....and every where you go, it is great... just the right mixture of tea/sugar... even at our dinner....the tea was good. You southern people just know how to do it right. :thumbsup

Most restaurants make a sugar syrup to add to the steeped tea - - that's why it's never grainy.

I'm pretty sure they sell Lipton there as they have tea - they just don't offer sweet tea in the restaurants.

They don't offer sweet tea in the restaurants, are they apart of The United States ?

Re: Dinner - April 25th

Bro Scott, Renda is correct... we just don't usually have sweet tea in the restaurants and when we do, they usually aren't that sweet.

I used to be well known for my sweet tea... I would have people come in my house to visit and one of the first things they would ask for was my tea. Some thought it was too sweet... my way of doing it was 2 cups of sugar mixed with tea when it hot... then add cold water to make a gallon. I usually used Luisianne tea? something like that.

After my divorce and I started dieting, I quit making tea unless it is special dinners.... but when McDonalds started making it... I was like wow... tastes like mine used to. Takes a lot of self control to stay away from it.

I cannot drink sugar... not for long anyway, does something to me... I fall off the wagon every so often... :D

I went to weigh in today because we started a contest at work... and just since last Wed, I have gained 7lbs... all because I ate and drank what I wanted the last 4 days... I knew what I was doing though... my face gets puffy and it is just horrible. It was worth it... I enjoyed all the sweet tea, really I did. :ursofunny

Maybe I'm allergic to it??? :sad

LOL I'm just a major sweet tea fan and if I was skinny, I would never drink a soft drink... it would be sweet tea all the time.

I use a cup and a half per gallon, and everyone thinks it's really sweet!!! I used to just use a cup. I can't imagine how sweet yours is! If I had known you were a big fan, I would have told you there was a gallon in the fridge!!

Don't go to Minnesota and ask for tea in the winter. I asked for tea and meant ICED TEA. I was brought hot tea, which I detest. If I had wanted HOT TEA, I would have asked for hot tea. Good grief...lol. I am from the south, but I love unsweetened tea!...Unsweetened iced tea!

Luzianne is much, much better than Lipton in my opinion.

http://www.luzianne.com/

I haven't tried this, but if you want bottled sweet tea, Luzianne makes it. There is a coupon here to save $1.00 on a 4 pack:

oh, I would have drank it. 1.5 per gallon would have been just fine. I think the 2 cups per gal is very sweet...and taste like McDonalds sweet tea, which sometimes if I get it I think... whoo that is sweet. Sometimes I make it for the girls, but I just have to stay away. Usually I just make Kool aid or lemonade because I don't like it and won't drink it.
