I Am So Mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am beginning to really feel discriminated against. I know you are wondering why, so I am going to tell you.

Almost ALL the stores that sells shoes no longer carry any size under a 6.

So what are the ones of us that wear a 5 supposed to do? Go barefoot?

For the second time I went into a store to try and find ladies dress shoes. The lady that ran the dept informed me they didn't carry any fives, but that I could try the children's shoe dept that they carried 5's. Knowing I had already expressed I was looking for a ladies dress shoe, I asked her with lots of wonder in my voice, "Oh, your dept carries ladies high heel shoes in the CHILDREN'S dept?" "Oh, no but they have sandals!!! Where is the red face anger icon when you need it?

So I remember that someone on NFCF told me about a website that you can order shoes and return them at no cost if they don't fit. So I went shopping today and found the very shoes I was looking for. Unfortunately, the little darlings are going to cost me over 200.00!

I need Margie to start me a writing campaign. And all the supporters that can find sympathy for us folks with small feet, who like to where shoes also!

Well I got that off my chest, but goodness this isn't right.

Where is Newman, she ought to know how to handle this unfair situation.

Although most of the better shoes are made overseas.

I think I am going to suggest a boycott of one brand at a time until they start accomodating little feet also.

I mean how would you feel if you couldn't find any shoes to fit your feet and when and if you do, you pay the price!

rgcraig 04-10-2007 02:33 PM

And I thought I had trouble finding 7's!

That is a terrible plight for sure. Goes to prove that we are evolving into bigger Americans!

Zappos.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pressing-On 04-10-2007 02:34 PM

I wear 10 1/2. You think you have it bad! Hardly anyone carries that size. At least I don't have to look for narrow or wide. That would make it harder.

Have you checked to see if the manufactors are making your size.

We can boycott together. hehehe

ummm NO!

Although when my husband's family was dividing up his parents things, they found a shoe mold for repairing shoes in the shed.

Looked to be made of iron and rather small.

I order on-line, because I'm a perfect 10 1/2 Medium, so it's no big deal.

There are a lot of manufacturers that do not carry my size in leather.

I have to have leather. My feet will hurt in a cheap shoe.

I have seriously looked around and thought I'd like to design some stylish and more comfortable shoes for women. Didn't know how to get started on it.

No kidding!!!! My 13 yr old wears an 11 wide. She's also 5 ft 9in tall. It's next to IMPOSSIBLE to find her a good supportive pair of shoes for less than $60-- and I have to order them online. None of the stores within 100 miles of me have shoes in that size. (at least not that I've been able to find)

Tina,
This is true. I hardly ever find a shoe under $60 in leather. I am 5'7". I used to hate my feet until I got older and now I like them. I love the pointy toed pumps!!!!!

Now here is a REAL problem!!!

Sis. Esther...at least you have HAD the priviledge of having shoes at one time.

Those with larger feet are JUST NOW beginning to enjoy the priviledge! :neener

I don't know what's taking so long...don't they KNOW that children today are growing up with larger feet??? For crying out loud!!! Don't they KNOW that more and more teen boy's feet are 12-16??? :ranting

My mother-in-law and sister-in-law both wear 11-12. My daughter has just now grown into her size 12's this last year. I thought it was difficult to find 11's...now I have to look for 12's. She usually just 'smooshes' into an 11. *harumph*

Oh no you misunderstood me. I bought a pair for $225.00 today from them.

Their selection was not near what other sizes where but at least they had them.

They had two pair of shoes exactly alike, one was priced $250.00 and the other $225.00. So you know which one I got. :)

Don't let her smoosh!!!! It will ruin her toes and her instep! She'll pay for it later.

They are - that's why you can't find size 5 shoes anymore.

However, I see the problem with the 10's and 11's, but not here in Memphis.

It seems they cater to the large feet.
