Man Who Stalked My Daughter Kills
 

My wife and I found out some scary news today. As some of you know my daughter is a secular singer / songwriter. When she worked at a famous Karaoke Club in downtown Nashville she was stalked by a man who seemed obsessed with her.

Apparently since my daughter no longer worked there he began stalking another woman who is in the business along with her husband. This man had been stalking the woman all over town and last night when he was doing that once again the husband approached him and asked him to stop following them and to leave his wife alone. The stalker pulled out a pistol and shot this man four times and killed him.

That could have easily been my son in law because he would have confronted this man also had he ever run into him when he was stalking my daugther.

I am thankful my daughter is ok. Several years ago she had another stalker who was obsessed with her and her music and it was very scary. He had emailed her about them being destined to be together, etc and around the same time she actually saw a man she thinks was him following her at various times. There are so many weird people in this world!

Sometimes what didn't happen is as much of a shock to process mentally and emotionally as what did happen. I suspect this could be one of those "never happened" things for your family.

I'm so, so sorry for the family who is having to process what did happen, and so, so happy for your family that you're not having to process that on such a personal level.

That is just so horrible--all I could think is, thank God she has parents that pray!

But I feel awful for that poor mans family.

No name you would recognize. Signed by Universal to a record deal at age 15 in LA. CD came out two weeks after 9-11 and while Universal was cutting back so she got dropped. She has two songs on major movie soundtracks and one in a Disney TV movie but that was a few years ago. She is concentrating on being a new mom right now and will get back to song writing and singing someday! Her teen years were interesting because the three years Universal spent working on her album her and her mom got to live in Los Angeles, New York and Nashville. She never made much money but rode in limos, stayed in nice hotels, ate in nice restaurants, and met a lot of interesting people. As a note for those wondering she is not Pentecostal. She is Baptist and married to a Church of Christ guy. A source of consternatation for me but one I will not discuss on the forum.

LOL!!!! She is a beautiful talented young woman who is a great mama to my first grandbaby. I am also glad she is safe. God has really protected her from some bad things.

Yes. People tackled him immediately after the shooting and held him until the police got there. Sadly it was too late to save the man he shot.

wow, you just never know, do you? I pray that your daughter doesn't suffer now from "survivor's guilt". NONE of this is her fault. I'm thankful she and her family are ok. And I pray that God will comfort the other family. So sad.

My daughter pulled up the killer's facebook page and the day before he shot this man he posted a crazy hate filled rant at some unnamed person and talked about how he was going to get them, he was the hunter and they were the prey, etc.

What really blew my mind was that among the comments people visiting his site left while most were condemming of him two actually said something to the affect "it is a shame this woman caused someone to die - and she wasn't even that hot" meaning the victims wife that the killer was stalking. Good grief!

They said that if this guy tries to plea temporary insanity my daughter may have to testify that his stalking was a pattern. She related to me a story today about how when she worked at the Karoke place he had figured out her work schedule and mentioned it to her one day. She confirmed the days that she worked but then a couple of days later her boss changed the schedule and she didn't work one of her normal days. A few days later when she was working this guy showed up and acted really weird. He said "I thought you worked (whatever day she had missed)". She replied that she normally did but her boss had changed the schedule. This guy had a very intense look like he was so angry he was almost shaking but was trying to not show it and said "well I came to see you and expected you to be here".

You just gotta wonder where these people come from. I was looking at his facebook home page and other than the rant the night before he murdered this man he sounded like a normal nice guy in his postings.

Oh, I also found out that he shot the victim four times in the FACE right in front of the victims wife. They said it is going to have to be a closed casket funeral. I can't imagine what that poor wife is going through.

Wow CC1. I am saddened by the news of a man's violent death. I am am glad that your daughter got out this sicko's sights. Any arrests?
