Indeed...

Soak them in epsom salt if you have it.

2 teaspoons of dried parsley steeped in a cup of hot water. 3 cups per day.

But... most of all.. prayer. We will certainly do that.

LORD GOD,

Touch Bro. And Sis. Alvear from head to toe, inside out, LORD, and give them
rest for their weary bodies, in Jesus Name.

My doctor tells me to go ahead and take a double dose when my feet swell. They never swell that much either. Maybe you could call the doctor and ask about doing that??

I agree - ELEVATE them. above his heart. and no more salt for a while :(

Should anyone but a medical doctor be giving advise as to medication??? Not safe at all. I hope he sees a Doctor if the swelling remains. Will be praying.

AMEN to that!!!

After leg surgery my left leg and foot get swollen every time I am on my feet too long. The best thing is to completely elevate the legs. Elevate meaning legs above the heart. Is Bro Alvear diabetic? If so do not soak his feet in hot water. It cuts circulation to the legs and feet. My cousin is an Endocrinologist; he told me this. Also Motrin or Ibuprofin helps with the swelling. I'll be praying for Bro. Alvear.

Margie did say that she should call the doctor and ask first.

I've never given Ibuprofen products or NSAIDS for swelling that was not related to an inflammatory process. The edema can be caused by different reasons. If it is there simply because of bad circulation, I would check with a doctor about taking Ibuprofen for the swelling sake alone.

There are stockings that help with blood return (venous stasis) and swelling that Bro Alvear may want to try if he hasn't already. Jobst stockings.

But those with peripheral artery or venous disease should NOT wear them.
