Radio Murder Confession
This A.M. I was listening to Johnjay and Rich here in the PHX. They are on in Portland, OR; Fort Collins, Co; Tucson, AZ; Colorado Srings, Co; and of course here in Phoenix. They have several different segiments that I have written about on here before. Today is Wednesday 'Confession Wednesday'. Well today a man called in that used to live in Cinncinatti, OH. and confessed that he took part in an unsolved murder from '88. He claims that he didn't commit the murder, but was there when it went down.
The man that was murdered had been a bully over several people when they were all younger. They took the man to a bad part of town-apparently close to the river. They egged him, burned him with cigarettes and other thing all while his hand and feet were tied. Then the spear heads of the thing then pushed him in the river and people started taking off cause they were scared and two days later the man's body washed up on the Kentucky side. The guy that called in was sitting on this for 11 years. He was very shaken just telling the story. People here in AZ. have been blowing up the phones in Cincy. This is crazy and actually the second time that someone had confessed about a murder on thier show. The first was about 6 years ago or something when they were only on in Tucson. I can't believe it...I am floored. The reason that the man and some of the others never came forward is because the guys that were 'in charge' threatened to kill them all if they talked! What do you all think about this? |

Re: Radio Murder Confession
Well someone called into the show and said that they had tried to call the Cincy Police Dept and it seems that there is. So it seems to be the 'real deal.' We will have to see what happens from here. I think that if it all checks out then it will make the national news like the first one did. I got to thinking there was also a time that someone from here in AZ called a radio show that is broadcast out of Los Angeles and confessed to a murder and they caught her I believe. Only time will tell.

I am a nice guy and was told that we don't video tape our communion service line because there are illegals going to our church. I would hate to see ICE visit church to catch someone they saw on a video. |
Re: Radio Murder Confession
I ceased being surprised at anything a few years ago after reading multiple accounts of a High Scool student who was killed by another one and whoe the police had been looking for the body.
High Scool kids knew where the body was in the woods and many of them had been taken there to see it as the poor boy's corpse rotted, decayed and turned into a skeleton. Not one cotton picken HS kid that saw it had the moral character to call the policeto give the boys family some closure and to be able to bury his body. The kid that was killed was from a very poor family in the hills who had moved to a neighborhood where he had to go to an upscale school where he was very much an outsider. Finally years after he was killed his body was found and the case solved. I could not believe the number of people who had known about the crime and were now grown several years later who STILL had not contacted the police about where his body was. We are rasiing a generation of people without a conscience or moral barometer of any kind. |

Update:
As of today 'Carl' the caller that called in and told the story about the murder now is saying that he made it up. Apparently this guy was lying or is now back peddling. They ran the story on CNN and other media sources. The local and state police are talking to him about this and get info while the Cincy police are checking cold cases and such. Any further info I get I will let you know. |
