I was just reading the local paper when I saw an ad for a Kindergarten Immunization Party!:ursofunny I can just see all the depressed little kids at the "party"! It says "You will get all the immunizations you need for school, plus snacks and fun!"

I remember when the "new" rubella shots were first rolled out in the 1960's. They had all of the kids go through a line and then sit on mats in the gym while classical music played.

I remember one pretty girl from my class crying in the arms of one of her friends. I felt like I wanted to be the one who consoled her. I think that was the first stirrings of love I felt.

I remember "shot day" at school every year. They didn't have permission from parents or anything; just lined everyone up in the gym and gave everyone shots. One year I got to assist the nurses by cleaning needles. I was all of ten years old.

walk thru a line, there are multiple dudes on each side with airgun vaccination guns.

they order you to roll up your sleeves, then you walk forward.

stop at the first two, shot in each arm

step up to the next two, get two more shots.

etc
half grown men standing around crying cuz it hurts so bad and a drill instrutor dog cussing all the babies for being wimps.

This is exactly how I got my measles/mumps vaccination. I went to school with a lot of Amish kids and they had a terrible outbreak during my 8th grade year. This sect of Amish here do not believe in immunizations, so we had to go thru a line and get vaccinated with air guns...it took 5 nurses to hold me down!!! I absolutely hate shots of any kinds! I was traumatized!

It's a good thing you're not going to Africa with us!!! The first time we went, we had to get about 8 different shots!

One year when I was in elementary school, they loaded us all up on the buses and took us to another school where everybody got vaccinated. What's the shot that leaves the scar on your arm? Smallpox? That's what we got. It was NOT a good day for anybody!

the next year, they loaded us up again. The crying and fussing started immediately and we didn't even know where we were going!!! Turns out they took us to the same school as the year before. And again it was for a vaccination. But this time it was that one that they put on a sugar cube and had you eat. We all wanted to be vaccinated several times for whatever that was!!! We were a happy bunch that day!

He's so smart. I was lucky to remember the sugar cubes! And then you remember the polio part. And he remembers the name of it. Geesh

speaking of shots. We are not going thru that first year with Jack and Levi has gone with us and when Jack gets shots, Levi crys!

LoL! its too cute. if we have to go to the Dr. for any reason now, Levi will say "I dont want Jack to get a shot!"

The current Immunization culture that Big Pharm has created is one of the worst things that has happened to our society! One of the worst thigns that is accepted as normal that you can do to your children.

:nah Do some research on vaccines and what happened. Alsothe problems in years to come will show the depth in stupidity we have subjected our children to casuing all types of neurologcial issues and other health issues.

Well, in the 50's.....

We did have the classic permission slip; then taken to the hallway, actually a rotunda type opening (olllld school building even then) and lined up for our shots.:sad I think this was only for polio and the vaccine was very new.

It was spread out ....3 total over a period of years. (no wimpy sugar cube)

Mother of one classmate in wheelchair due to polio.( in the the 40's her family was part of "The Church" ).

There were always the same "kids" who were not vaccinated;Christian Science and maybe the JW's...I know the JW kids didn't stand for the daily pledge.

yes because we need more folk with shrivled legs from Polio and scared up faces from Small Pox and chicken pox and such.

we need far more enlarged hearts from Rubella.


the dirty of these things is exactly what is wrong with our society.

Another thought re grade school in the 50's

Although we had never heard the term, it was in it's "own" way very multicultural....
Classmates from many varied backgrounds,large % of Jewish students (the school was 2 blocks from the Jewish Community Center), then the usual RC, Lutheran, Methodist, AOG, Christian Science, JW and me the only UPC!!
A true melting pot. (Totally White....no African-American here, maybe an American Indian--not sure)

In Jr High there were a few African American students. Remember, this is the North...and it's COLD!!:ursofunny

Well first of all, they don't even give the smallpox vaccine anymore. And the risks of the vaccines in SOME cases are worse than the risks of disease. Good nutrition is better than the best vaccine.

Get context and understand the issue! The immunizations is not the reason for polio and other issues going away and minimized. Watch the video which will help you "start" to know the issue not false propaganda in a area of which you obviously have studied little.

Good nutrition will not keep someone from getting small pox if they came in contact with it.

And the reason it IS gone is because enough kids (and adults) were vaccinated to wipe it out. Short of some sample breaking from from a government lab, it is now gone.

Good to see someone else who can see beyond the hype that the medical community is putting out! I'll have to watch the video you posted Luke.

In my church we have an herbalist who has helped educate a lot of us, and I can't wait until the day she starts putting on seminars, because a lot of the things I have learned from her, I feel need to get out further. When I refused my first vaccine, I had never felt so empowered!

My pastor and his son, who also use herbs and natural medicine a lot of the time, just got back from 2 weeks in India and they are doing fine. The truth is coming out about vaccines and things, and it is being proven by people not dying out and plagues not running rampant, however the effects of the vaccines will be shown, as Luke said, in the next few decades.

bro, i have a 4 year old and a 10 month old. Ive gotten the education. but watching a video on the internet isnt exactly "getting an education"

That doesnt mean I dismiss the idea that these things may be part of the cause of autism, but the science also suggests that this is very minimal when placed next to the impact of not giving immunizations.

to suggest that "big pharm" is the evil culprit of pushing this stuff simply is false. Doctors are very much intent on insuring kids get their shots.

I know our doctor has released patients whos parents wont immunize. By and large peditricians are very much in support of immunization.

suggesting otherwise is not responsible.

Not well these baffoons here have said "........" because the medical industry said ".........." Well many doctors clearly disagree. The agenda is for the most part on who makes the money. I have children as well and they have never taken a vaccine and never will. Being responsible is making EDUCATED decisions based not on simply "well they say it is ok" and "everyone does it so it can't be bad" do you realize because "they said it was ok" the disasters the medical industry has caused before all through out the world.

First of all Luke my brother, I have done more than a little research. ive looked at studies, Ive seen CDC information. I have asked for spcific information from my kids doctor. to the point that she was worried that I was going to "opt out"

I do find it interesting that this documentary starts with a disclaimer that the infromation isnt to be used at Medical advice.
