Dont Forget..........................

At 10 I will do a funeral for a 23 year old that I had to go with the police when they went to do "the knock"..........

13,283 hours ago my mother died of a heart attack......

People you never know when someone you love will be gone.....call em today and tell them you love them.......

Don't Forget..........

Very good point!

Do we ever tell the ones we love enough that we love them?

(9,984 hrs since my mom died of a heart attack)

I try to tell them everyday. I still have both my parents... I thank God for that!

That was nice of the police to call you for this visit... is that a routine, or was this family affiliated with your church? I enjoy hearing about this kind of stuff that happens in smaller towns but you rarely see in the larger ones.

Now Renda are you trying to stir the pot??

I say it everyday... but sometimes it through gritted teeth! Or with a heavy sigh... does that still count?

I do call my parents every week, and I do call my one living grandparent too.

Love is a God given quality. Why destroy friendships over such trifle things that come up in life. Let that God given quality shine through you even in "trying" circumstances...You will be glad you did!
Love one another for GOD is love.

Sister Alvear 04-11-2007 05:41 PM

and by the way...I love all you folks.

I am a member of the Police Department as a Chaplain....when they have a bad one, they will call me out to be a help. These people had no ministry at all in their lives. I do hope we not only helped, but will be able to make a change in their lives.

Today will be a good day to attempt to reach a lost loved one or maybe even a complete stranger with love and compassion from the heart of a true Christian.

Today, I won't forget.

Re: Dont Forget..........................

I grew up in Wisconsin and we just never said, "I love you" to one another.

In his latter years, when he was on his death bed, my Dad started saying that he loved us to my brothers and me when we would visit him.

The last conversation I had with my Mother was to call her and tell her that I had arrived back home in Ohio. As I hung up the phone, I said, "Mom, I love you." She replied, "I love you too, Sweetie." A couple of days later she died.

I did not tell my children I loved them when they were small. Now my children and grandchildren and I tell each other that we love one another when we are departing after being with one another.

See, an old dog CAN learn new tricks.
