LOL! No, I never joined a whistling competition! My Mom always used to say "Lynne, Please stop whistling!!" in an exasperated tone. But my brother used to look at me in awe and say "How do you DO that??" :D

I don't whistle very well.

My grandmother discouraged us from learning how, said it wasn't "ladylike".

She always quoted this whenever one of us tried whistling.

I hate whistling! I know it's suppose to be a happy sound. But when my boss starts whistling around the office, I want to shove my letter opener through my temple!
