NLC in need of a Youth Pastor...know someone?

Our Youth Pastor, whom we've been privileged to have for 3yrs is going to be venturing into the music industry. He and his wife are very talented. His passion is music and he and I have been working together to help him work through this decision. So.........we need to find another Youth Pastor. I would really like someone with a oneness background. Most of you know who we are and where we stand on most issues. My pastorate and church is an open book.

If you know someone who may be interested, have them firstly go to our website. The link is at the bottom of every post of mine. If after having looked around, they are still interested, they need to contact me and send a resume. I am not a micro-manager so anyone who works for me has a great amount of liberty to do their job. We want one thing more importantly than anything else, and that is passion. If that passion and vision lines up with ours, then it just may work! :D

Apparently, no one knows anyone? Or are you just fearful of what they might get into? LOL!

yeah, I just noticed that!

I think that the Lord could use you in that capacity, if you would make yourself available.

I just got to where I am at. I surely don't want to relocate any time soon. I thought I left my heart in Ogden. My heart was never really in CA. But, the more time I spend with the saints of the assembly that I attend -I can say that I am falling in love with this place. South Texas -10 year commitment -minimum.

MOW,

I will pray that the Lord sends you someone that HE qualifies to perform the work. It would really disappoint me if you allowed a trinitarian to take the position.

JD,
I'm out to lunch. I may sign back in this evening. If time and space in the comp lab permits.

In Jesus' Name

Well south Texas is definitely one of those places one would have to be "called" to!!!

Anywhere in Texas, as a matter of fact!!!!

Just exactly how trinitarian would they have to be to elicit your disappointment?

I know some "oneness" folks who are more twoness than oneness! :D

Would you hire a trinitarian?

I am curious, if you'll indulge me... Is there some sort of age requirement for a youth pastor?

If someone had a passion for God, youth, had received the HGB and the only obstacle was their view of the godhead and I felt they were teachable, I would hire them. I can teach about the godhead, but you can't teach passion....it has to either be there or not.

Not really thinking of an age requirement...passion and love for the Lord is more important. :D

As well as a passion for OUTREACH And a desire to work with YOUTH!!!

Our youth pastor is 22. There couldn't be a better man for the job IMO! He is absolutely AWESOME! Our youth group has doubled in size-- and is still growing. He leads by example-- the youth of ALL ages love him.

And NO, he's not going to know about this position-- because we're not letting him leave!! :D

I heard on another thread that a certain preacher from Indy was looking for places to preach (PM). Maybe it's time? And, I heard Brother Epley is freed up... there's a couple of good young men.

I would apply BUT I have seen those speedos MOW wears on vacation and I think I would throw up during staff retreats!!!

Good luck with your search, a YP is an important position at any church.

H1, I don't know for sure about the pay (altho I suspect it is!), but I can tell you for absolutely dead sure about the deer and the fish in Sandusky!! If there are not deer and fish there, then they don't exist anywhere in the world! Sandusky = LAKE ERIE shore!

MOW is about an hour away from me. The other night I had to stop three times on the way home from Toledo because of deer!!
