Are 60s fashion trends returning? I see peace signs on clothing everywhere here lately and just today I saw a young kid wearing granny style sunglasses.
Are Nehru jackets and love beads next ?
Are mop top haircuts and bell bottoms returning?
Are The Hippy Drippy 60s fashions coming back into vogue ?

I think the 70's (as defined by Sonny and Cher) was about the worst fashion decade of the 20th century. Some of these fashions started in the 60's but is best known for the following decade.

And I will (halfheartedly) stand by a preacher proclaiming a woman wearing bell bottoms as hellbound! LOL

I was wondering if the 80's are coming back. i've noticed several of the young boys who work for my company sporting mohawks.

One thing is for sure, this generation can't come up with anything that is their own.

The old " if you can remember the 60's you weren't there"-----well, I spent the last 3 yrs of the 60's at ABI, and we had no TV or radio so basically, no news:blah .

Truly,we were very isolated and did miss much of the worlds' happenings===which may not have been all bad:ursofunny

Yes, most of us had off campus jobs but when you're that young current events are not at the top of one's priorities.

As to the fashions, I think any repeat of 60's 70's 80's should be banned.
If I didn't like it in 1968 or 1975 I sure don't like it in 2009!

I see clothing all the time that is a "repeat" and I cringe! no no make it go away, guess I should have kept everything and I could say I was wearing vintage clothing:nah

Thinking that we might be heading back to THIS (fashion wise) literally makes my stomach hurt.

Granted this was more early 70's...... (70's fashions was THE worst, followed by the 60's)

The 80's certainly had it's share of weird styles but it was never as nauseating as the two prior decades. (And the women were actually attractive -unlike all the Cher and Susan Dey lookalikes from the 70's.)
