Tornados in Texas!

Ya'll please pray for us...we are in a tornado warning here in Rockwall. There is thunderstorms, power outages, and lots of thunder. It is a bit scarey.

Thanks, Rhoni

Thank-you! The funny thing is that hurricanes never really bothered me but the tornados are a different story!

Will do~

Hear you, I was raised in earthquake country (Calif) growing up, feeling the ground rumble to feeling a rolling motion under my feet to things falling off the walls ever now and then didn’t scare me. But spending time with family members as a teenager who lived in OK, with consent tornado warning going off, I was scared, spent three nights sleeping in their basement.

I think they've passed by. All is well. Thanks so much for the prayers!

Last night in the program that replaced 20/20 they showed a home video someone took in Dallas and you could see the funnel clouds and the debris flying through it. There was a lot of physical/structural damage to homes and property but I haven't heard there was any loss of life...thank the Lord.

Lagirl...are you all right?

Actually, I used to enjoy hurricane weather but that was because they always missed us in Tampa/Clearwater. The waves hitting against the bridges throwing water works into the air is just beautiful...

But the Tornado here in Texas destroyed a Baptist church and took many roofs off of the homes here locally...that is not fun. Thank God nobody was hurt though. Hurt physically that is. It must be terrible to lose your home to vandalism, hurricane, tornado, or fire...I can't imagine. I would forever miss my pictures...those are my treasures.

Blessings, Rhoni

yes we are fine. the strong storm came thu here around 1 AM. i stayed up until it passed. no tornados! the weather man said we were lucky. havent heard of any reports yet. we had high winds and TONS of rain and hail.

I've been through several tornadoes. They're pretty frightening. But they come and are gone quickly. I think a hurricane would be more scary because they last much longer. Plus, if I understand right, they also tend to spawn tornadoes.

Earthquakes sound scary to me, too. I've never experienced one, but can't say that I'd like to either. Yep, that's an experience I could live without for the rest of my days, thank you.
