Lost my job!
 
Well is was almost a month ago that I came on here and gave God the praise for delivering me a great job. Well now I am here trying to praise God during a storm. This AM I was told I had no job anymore. Many of you on here know how rough the past few years have been for my family and I. My wife is disabled and can't work. Now we are completely out of income and no job. So please plray for Amy (wife), Delaney (daughter) and I. We need the Lord to come through in a BIG way.

Praying for you JT. I had the same thing happen earlier this year. My husband has not worked since his automobile accident in November 2007. We have been living on my income for a year and a half. He is in the disability process, but who knows when that will happen - and there is no guarantee that it will.

I took what I thought was a wonderful, virtually recession proof job as an office manager of a utilities department. When my 90 day evaluation came, the board voted to "not retain my services". Apparently they decided I was not learning fast enough because I did not know as much in 90 days as my predecessor did in 12-1/2 years!

I freaked out for about five minutes over the health insurance factor more than anything! Then I started praying. I knew that God knew before I went into that meeting what was going to happen and that it did not take him by surprise.

Jon and I spent hours that night talking and spitting out business ideas that were just coming from nowhere, that we could not have attempted if I were confined to someone else's office. God is blessing, we are growing and being stretched, and I will pray that He does the same for you.

There will be something bigger and better than that "great job" waiting for you!! You are now officially on my prayer list. Please keep us posted how God shows off for you! :thumbsup

JT, you are my buddy. We have shared laughes, jokes, prayers and have seen each other through a lot of trials. As you know, I'm in the same position in being without a job. But one thing I am certain about you is that you have faith. Jesus said in MK. 11:22, "have faith in God." He is the same God as he always has been every other time he has come thru for you. He will not fail you this time. Praying. PM me.

Things are stormy all around us it seems, but as I read your post, and those that followed, this verse dropped in my inner beings...

Job 23:10

10 But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.

The Amplified reads...

Job 23:10

Rest assured that the Lord knows the way you take. He is paying attention to every detail of your life, and when you are through this trial you will shine like purest gold.

JT,

I just saw this and my heart sank. I am praying for you and your situation. I spent three months facing the prospect of being out looking for a job and with the unemployment rate at a 30 year high the prospect was frigthening so I can imagine what you are facing as I had tried to brace myself for it.

Any chance this might bring you home to Tennessee?
