Faux News comes through again...

with their unresponsible dealing with the facts. I mean even I didn't think they'd stoop to this level to spin news, but hey I guess they'll do whatever it takes to bend the facts for the desired end. How do they stay on TV?

Notice anything wrong with this picture?

They tried the same thing when Mark Foley disgraced himself.

Really, I thought Mark Foley was a Democrat.

I didn't think FOX news would do something like this intentionally, but given all of the examples, a good argument can be made that FOX is attempting to mislead its sheep, uh, viewers.

What Fox did shouldn't surprise no one. I just dont understand how people can watch them and MSNBC. The partisan anchors and tone on these networks makes them hard to watch at times. I cant tell you the amount of times i had to turn off O'riley and Hannity. Keith Olberman and that Rachael woman is just blechhhhh.

Whenever Fox News wants you to forget that someone is actually a Republican, they, ah, accidentally label them a Democrat on their chryon and let it go. So they did that today, as you can see, while Mark Sanford was explaining that he had been in Argentina to screw around on his wife. (They corrected it in later chryons.)
So how do we know this was intentional? Fox can't be stupid enough to think they an fool millions of viewers? Why correct it then?

Right, the source is pretty incredible.

Here are the correct clips:

http://www.foxnews.com/search-result...-bombshell.htm

http://www.foxnews.com/search-result...to-my-wife.htm

http://www.foxnews.com/search-result...the-family.htm

I'd have to read about that somewhere else, to believe it.

Well, I guess you could believe that Fox News just throws things on the air without verifying it or caring about the fact of the matter. I guess you could go a step farther and assume that they've repeatedly made this error at the times a Republican has damaged the reputation of the GOP.

Either way, they obviously play lightly with the facts of the matter whether inadvertently or purposefully.

Mike, I do agree with you on a lot of things, but do you have any other sources to verify this? I normally like to have at least three.

Yep, I think if you and I sat down and talked about politics at the end we'd agree on more than we disagree on PO.

I'd heard about Faux trying to sneak a (D) title by disgraced (R)'s, but that's the only website from a very quick search that I saw that had screen shots of the actual broadcasts. Those are screen shots of actual Faux News footage that was aired on their network.

I didn't actually witness all of the others but I saw the Mark Sanford one with my own two eyes. I'll look around and see if any other sites have it documented with screen shots.

We got rid of our satellite several years ago, so I only catch the important stuff on-line.

Are you saying that you were actually watching the coverage on Fox News and saw this?

Wow that is just silly. Any idea who does a lot of those words you see on the screen this time of year? 20 year old interns. This is as wacky as those who refer to the government as "they" and "they" are always out to get you.

Think this through. Do you honestly think that someone sat down and said "hmmm I think we will put a "D" beside him so that we can look stupid when everyone cries foul."

Gimme a break.

Huffington Post goes and posts a slanderous video against a FoxNews anchor and barely issues an apology when it turns out to be a fake. I'm sure there's other examples of liberal media mistakes as well.

Media makes mistakes all the time ... including FoxNews. I agree with Baron, it's crazy to assume FoxNews (the most hated network, but most watched network) decided to blatantly put a "D" instead of an "R" next to Sanford's name.

Which is more nefarious a "D" placed by a disgraced Republican or...

On September 8, 2004, Dan Rather cited “exclusive information, including documents” to justify major CBS Evening News and 60 Minutes stories alleging that George W. Bush shirked his duties when he was in the Texas Air National Guard in the 1960s and 1970s. Within a few hours of those documents being posted on CBS News’s Web site, however, typography experts voiced skepticism that the documents had actually originated with their alleged author and Bush’s former commanding officer, the late Lt. Colonel Jerry Killian. As the evidence mounted, Rather stubbornly clung to the idea that his story was bulletproof, and he derided critics as partisans and Internet rumormongers. When he “apologized” on September 20, Rather would not concede that the documents were forgeries, only that he and CBS could “no longer vouch for their authenticity.”

Exactly!

This liberal and media hatred of FoxNews is old. Night after night, FN dominates the market and they hate that. Even BHO and his administration have put a target on FN.

Let the libs and media that haven't made mistakes talk about FN's ... otherwise stop acting like a whiny little babby.

I'm simply saying that Faux News Channel now has a pattern of putting the wrong party beside a member of the Republican party who has brought ill repute on the party. Given their usual reporting of "facts", it could just be that they aren't concerned with the validity of their information Baron, but it seems suspicious that they make these errors when there's a large audience watching a Republican fall from grace.

Maybe those "interns" just pick some of the most convienient times to not get party affiliation correct.

Whether purposefully or inadvertently, it just confirms the accuracy of Faux News, no?

This is relatively minor and as long as people are involved there will be mistakes. There are literally tens of thousands of interns all over DC and NY in the summer working for news outlets, and others. Unpaid 20 somethings learning how to do something they have never done before, mistakes will be made.

Is not your bias showing just a bit with your insistence on using "Faux News"? perhaps you also refer to another station as "PMSNBC" or the "ALL Barack Channel" ?

You want to compare accuracy of the rest of the media ... or just smear FoxNews on their few mistakes.

Libs are like bratty toddlers, stomping their feet and screaming ...

Big, bad Fox News ...

... the most watched network night after night.

I definitely don't like Faux News and the bias isn't intended to be vailed. :)

I actually like O'Reilly and used to like Hannity and Coombes until it Coombes left and it got immensely boring with just Hannity there. I usually watch O'Reilly and then switch over to Larry King.

My dislike of Faux comes from there inaccurate reporting and thinly veiled bias of their own. It really is comedic at times how they spin the news to the right.

I'm heading to the lake for a fun weekend on the water. Hope all of you guys have a great weekend.

So you enjoy liberal bias and innacurate reporting on the other networks? Got it.

Enjoy the lake.

That's funny ... I say the same about:

MSNBC
CNN
ABC
NBC
CBS
NY Times
AZ Republic
Huffington Post

with the only exception is they spin everything to the left.

Well, what you mentioned are people with shows on the networks ... they're not news anchors.

Hannity, Oreilley, Olberman and Maddow all have shows on their networks - and all are obnoxiously partisan, which is okay because it's not the actual news anchor. There are other shows on both FN and MSNBC (fox & friends, etc) that are also a bit slanted one way or the other ...
