I got the email listed below. Has anyone heard if this is true or just one of the many stories that shoots around the email world?

BOMBSHELL…Supreme Court now has Obama Citizenship
AP- WASHINGTON D.C. - In a move certain to fuel the debate over Obama's qualifications for the presidency, the group Americans for Freedom of Information has Released copies of President Obama's college transcripts from Occidental College Released today, the transcript indicates that Obama, under the name Barry Soetoro, received financial aid as a foreign student from Indonesia as an undergraduate at the school.

The transcript was released by Occidental College in compliance with a court order in a suit brought by the group in the Superior Court of California . The transcript shows that Obama (Soetoro) applied for financial aid and was awarded a fellowship for foreign students from the Fulbright Foundation Scholarship program.

To qualify, for the scholarship, a student must claim foreign citizenship. This document would seem to provide the smoking gun that many of Obama's detractors have been seeking.

Along with the evidence that he was first born in Kenya and there is no record of him ever applying for US citizenship, this is looking pretty grim. The news has created a firestorm at the White House as the release casts increasing doubt about Obama's legitimacy and qualification to serve as president.

When reached for comment in London , where he has been in meetings with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Obama smiled but refused comment on the issue.

Britain 's Daily Mail also carried the story in a front-page article titled, Obama Eligibility Questioned leading some to speculate that the story may overshadow economic issues on Obama's first official visit to the U.K.
In a related matter, under growing pressure from several groups, Justice Antonin Scalia announced that the Supreme Court agreed on Tuesday to hear arguments concerning Obama's legal eligibility to serve as President in a case brought by Leo Donofrio of New Jersey .

This lawsuit claims Obama's dual citizenship disqualified him from serving as president. Donofrio's case is just one of 18 suits brought by citizens demanding proof of Obama' s citizenship or qualification to serve as president.

Gary Kreep of the United States Justice Foundation has released the results of their investigation of Obama's campaign spending. This study estimates that Obama has spent upwards of $950,000 in campaign funds in the past year with eleven law firms in 12 states for legal resources to block disclosure of any of his personal records. Mr. Kreep indicated that the investigation is still ongoing but that the final report will be provided to the U.S. Attorney General, Eric Holder. Mr. Holder has refused to comment on the matter.
So far, Obama's main stream media haven't touched it!

It was my understanding that this piece was circulated as an April's Fool joke in April 2009 and that the AP tag doesn't fit the AP stylebook guidelines. I did an AP search for this article and it doesn't come up.

I never pay attention to forwarded e-mails. I always look for the report to be substantiated in several major news sources.

do a snopes.com search, under obama citizenship, its all there. although i think he is hiding a lot, this is apparrently an april fools joke. the lawsuit was denied in 2008 by supreme court.

I went to snopes, but didn't find anything (prior to my posting it), but in all honesty I have never used snopes before so it was probably my error.

However, while there did you notice the post about the 22 Amendment being changed so that Obama can serve more than two terms. It's ratings had mixed colors on it. I thought that was interesting.

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs today refused to confirm that a letter posted by the Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women and Children in Honolulu – purportedly from President Obama claiming the facility as his birthplace – is, in fact, real.

The issue arose today when Les Kinsolving, WND's correspondent at the White House, asked Gibbs about the letter, which the hospital also used in a magazine fundraising article.

However, when WND reported on the posted images and questioned their authenticity, the hospital concealed the online image, and then refused to confirm the letter even exists.

Gibbs' answer came in response to Kinsolving's question, which begins at the 55:27 mark into the video recorded by C-SPAN:

While you and the president were overseas on July the 7th, there was on the Internet a copy of a letter on White House letterhead dated January the 24th, 2009, with the signature "Barack Obama," which stated, "The place of my birth was Honolulu's Kapi'olani Medical Center." And my question is, can you verify this letter? Or if not, would you tell us which Hawaiian hospital he was born in, since Kapi'olani, which used to publicize this, now refuses to confirm?

There are lots of rules regarding certificates of live birth. 1
1 They are never self proclaimed. Obama making his own declaration of birth is an example.
They all contain a doc signature if a doc delivered the kid or a midwife etc.
There are a lot of examples of obama's being a fake. His was done by a word processor and they were not invented when he was born.
Obama and his 1/2 sister don't even agree in which hospital in Hawaaii to claim was his place of birth.

I watched from the 55:25 mark on, and it looked like they were all having fun with the questions. Lots of laughter.

Not sure what gloryseeker's stance is on this, so this isn't directed to specifically. I was just responding to their post.

They have an official record of a certification of a live birth. They have 2 birth announcements in Honolulu newspapers for that year and that day, both stating a son was born to his parents. The Supreme Court has dismissed two lawsuits over this. Hawaiian officials have verified that he does have a valid birth certificate.

I see the need for some people to continue pushing this illogical argument. They didn't vote for the guy, they want to see him fail, and this is the type of sensationalist idea that attracts those types of people. But of all the arguments against him, this is the one they attach their horse to? There are other things to bash him over that are much more well-founded. People pushing this agenda come off the same as "we didn't go to the moon" people.

What would be wrong with producing the Birth Certificate? Produce it and verify it and it becomes a non issue. Seems like that would be easy and then this stuff could be settled. It's a non issue anyway because the only way he'll be put out of office before his four years is up would result in mucho viloence.

The "Certification of Live Birth" posted online and widely touted as "Obama's birth certificate" does not in any way prove he was born in Hawaii, since the same "short-form" document is easily obtainable for children not born in Hawaii. The true "long-form" birth certificate – which includes information such as the name of the birth hospital and attending physician – is the only document that can prove Obama was born in Hawaii, but to date he has not permitted its release for public or press scrutiny.

The real document has the docs name on it.

Thanks to friends of Hillary who really did their legwork on this. Obama in his books which I have read refers to Davis. It has not been that long since Obama admitted Dreams to My father referred to davis. How about a DNA test. Obama used and sold drugs with Frank Marshall Davis. We will find the truth one day. I suspect Obama's lack of cooperation tells us a lot.

Birth certificate or not, the certification of live birth is a valid document and does verify he is a US citizen. It has been proven valid by a number of different sources. Why he doesn't release the actual one, I don't know. I know that I do not have my original one. I had to order another one when I got my passport. Maybe he doesn't have the time to personally do it. Maybe he has more pressing issues and realizes that the majority of Americans think he he has all of the qualifications needed to be president and doesn't want to give credence to the small minority that thinks otherwise. Who knows?

1. We don't have proof that the document offered up on the internet was indeed a valid document. To the contrary, forensic analysts say that it is not.

2. Even if it was (which it wasn't) people born outside of Hawaii also can have the type of document posted. WEIRD Hawaii rules... The forged document was likely based on his half sisters document. She was not born in Hawaii.

3. Even if he was born in Hawaii (which is doubtful) he is still not a NATURAL born citizen because his father had an allegiance to a foreign country (British citizenship). The Constitution of the United States and case law denote that natural citienship is different than just citizenship.

4. BUT, to add fuel to the fire; there is also the realization that he was adopted by an Indonesian citizen (his step dad) and thus had Indonesian citizenship. A natural born citizen can never have had an allegiance to any country but the USA.

5. The question lingers about what passport he used to travel to Pakastan when he was 20. At that time they weren't letting American citizens in. Interestingly enough, it was after that trip, that Obama took up his Muslim name and went to Columbia College to continue his radical education.

6. All he has to do is call Hawaii and tell them to release what they have. Instead he spends almost 2 million dollars on more than 20 lawsuits arguing that nobody has standing to challenge him. For $15 he could end most of the charades. :foottap

He actually did have a court hearing in Honolulu. He did have time. He told the media he was visiting granny. He had a court date with this man.

1-3: The first three items can be pretty well covered within this article. Other reputable sources have validated the document, but Politifact actually asked the Hawaii Department of Health. They did confirm that it was a valid Hawaii state birth certificate. Politifact also had a colleague born in Hawaii compare her birth certificate, and it was identical.

4: We have no idea on Indonesia's laws on adoption in pertaining to citizenship. Just because he was adopted does not necessarily automatically make him a Indonesia citizen.

5: Americans were allowed to visit Pakistan during 1981. There was a travel advisory issued during 1981, which was to inform citizens wishing to travel there of situations within the country. You can find a copy of it here:

We can spend all day discussing this, each of us posting our websites of source, each of us not believing the other. It boils down to this: with all of the news outlets we have today, with all of the Republicans that were in office at the time, with all of the conspiracy theorists out there, don't you think there would have been hard evidence introduced long before the election? We have records that show he is a citizen, we have reputable sources saying that he is. On the other side, all we have are a bunch of what-ifs and hypothetical possibilities. I remember you from way back on FCF, and I have always found you to be a reasonable person, grounded in facts. It is amazing that you would take this stance with such force and certainty. I agree that it is within the realm of possibility that the entire secret muslim world is perpetrating this hoax on the American people. Anything is possible, just not anything is probable.

You seemingly missed the fact that the paper posted by obama on the web sites was fabricated on a word processor.
It has no physicians name on it. no witnesses. Can't decieve me. It does not meet the standard for an I-9 required when a company hires an employee.

You seem to force an erroneous opinion for some reasson. Obama has only posted a fake birth document. It did not look like the original.
Honesty is important. Gibbs laughing and the reporter says a lot. The other give away is docs back then filled in the blanks in handwriting.


Attorney Philip Berg has posted many early 60's examples of what real certificates look like. The have pplaces for a parent's or witness signature, the attending Physicians signature and a lot of other info. That is why I left counseling years ago. too many people that want to hide the truth.

This is a tough case for judges. They will get threats from the Justice department and life will be miserable if they hear the case.

2 million dollars in legal fees to interfere with access to the real deal. Obama is convincing rational minds that spending 2 million in legal fees to block access to the real one is worth it. This is often the case when people are covering to save a job or stay out of jail. Some methods that help us detect deception include : Obama spent a couple of years writing two books about himself because he didn't want people to investigate and write his story. On one hand it is a narcissistic ego and on he other hand it is how thugs testifgy in court. They make a story. Two books is called writing your own infomercial. His fake even says it is fake unless it has the official seal on it.

Obama can order steak from Japan to entertain and pay 100 dollars a pound for meat but he is too busy to order up an original document.
Now there is a new problem If and when a real one shows up, he is in trouble for making this fake.

I believe he is hiding some things as well. Mainly, that he had to use his connections to make up for his average grades to get into many of these schools. However, that he attended these schools is not the question. There is substantial evidence saying he did. Why the need for his records being released?
What proof is there the his Certification of Live Birth and Selective Service Registration documents are counterfeit? People removed from the Obama camp that have actually handled these documents have verified them. I have yet to read one article questioning the legality of these documents where the writer physically examined them.
His passport is obviously on file, since several people have been fired from their jobs for accessing it. If there was something on there undermining his citizenship, don't you think they would have came out with it by now?
He is not required to turn over his medical records. I can think of many reasons one would not want his personal medical history to be made public.
Illinois has all records pertaining to his Senate position.
It is very likely that he does not have his parents marriage license. I don't not have mine, and if they passed away, I would not even know where to look.

All I see from people stating this position is speculation. The facts are on the other side of the fence, people only have to let their judgment not be clouded.

Then February 2, 1961 after she had become preggers she marries him. He was concieved out of wedlock. Ann filed for divorce in Honolulu in January 1964. Two years earlier Barry senior had left to attend Harvard leaving his "family behind. Reason for divorce included the fact that he was also married to some other woman at the time named Kezia.

At the age of 23, Obama Sr. enrolled at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, leaving behind a pregnant Kezia and their infant son. He had turned away from Islam and become an atheist by the time he moved to the United States.[4] On 2 February 1961, Obama Sr. married fellow student Ann Dunham in Maui, Hawaii[16] though she would not find out that her new husband was already married until much later.[

Now Obama Sr. has demonstrated he is dishonest, do you know why I should believe this stuff? Tell me why I should believe people that have records of dishonesty. I repeat myself and tell you an original Birth certificate from 1961 doesn't have (rev 11/01 on the bottom of it. The word laser is next to it. When were lasers invented?

States use birth certificates generated by hospitals and medical attendents. When they are so generated, the Hospital name and M.d. D.O. midwife P.A. etc appear on the original document along with names of witnesses.

I have read his thesis as I read the one written by Michelle Obama early last year. They have both been scrubbed from the web. Michelle Obama has been disbarred by court order and by doing so her disbarrment never had hearings. She has advertised herself as a lawyer but truthfully it is ex lawyer.
Less than 80 minutes after sotomayor was named as a candidate for SCOTUS, I found an article about her 3 folks involvment in an open marriage personal lifestyle . I read a little note on it and it has been removed.

The birth certificate issue on its face is ludicrous because the only folks who have ever claimed to touch it; are a couple of people who VERIFIED its validity by email! REALLY? How could anyone validate a document by email?

Obama hiding average grades? Hahaha Bush and McCain's class standing was out in the open and they didn't have braggging rights but for the schools they attended.

So is he hiding the citizenship he claimed, or the Arab billionaire sponsors? WE DON'T KNOW. BUT the secrecy adds credibility to believing that there is an usurper in office (with a hidden agenda).

It is not "certified"

You seem to not get it. It has no "certification", signature nor date it was certified by a 3rd party.

It also doesn't have the state seal on it. By that it means embossed and raised lettering. Not letterhead seal. I show a link that has a non counterfeit COLB with the seal on it.

Any middleschooler can print these out all day long with clip art and a PC.
No witness. Marriage certificates also require witnesses. Can't fool most of us.

The embossed seal and signature is on the back, which did not show through very well on the scan. Numerous sources have examined it closely, in person, and have verified that the seal is there. There were birth announcements in two separate Honolulu papers on August 1961 documenting the birth. Hawaiian officials also state that there is "no doubt Barack Obama was born in Hawaii." The Health Department Director and the registrar of vital statistics have both verified that the health department holds Obama's original birth certificate. Berg is the former Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania, and he has an impressive background in his activities as a democrat, but his support for the party seemingly stops when it comes to his trust in Barack Hussein Obama.

Medical people do not go to political sites to answer physical or medical questions. There are a few docs in washington. They sure don't go to lawyers for medical records. Actually I find the defense by Obama loyal people to be entertaining and and very revealing.

Give you a little reality. Had Obama had an incident discovered as a newborn and all that was offered as "proof" that he was born in Hawaaii at a specific hospital, no lawyer would accept it. It has no signatures on it of witnesses. It is both fake and incomplete. It is at most a birth announcement on some official looking stationary.
People say they have seen it and say it is real also applies to people that say they have seen noah's ark and the Ark of the covenant.
