What Do Local Barbers Charge ?
 

What do the barbers in your area charge ?
In my area I have started going to a guy that charges 10 bucks.
I called one place and they charged 16 bucks,too pricey for no more hair than what I have.
I am curious about what barbers charge in other places ?

i dont go to a barber, havent for 20 years,had too many problems with butcher jobs, i go to a hairdresser she charges 15 .and i get a stamp each visit and every so often its 12.

I have paid $8.00 recently at two different barber shops. If they charged $15 here, I would still be getting my wife to cut my hair. I did not get a hair cut in a barber shop for nearly 27 years.

My barber (a Spirit-filled Christian) charges $15 and I add a $5 tip so my haircut costs $20. I only go once a month, at 9:45 on the first Wednesday of the month.

My boys go to the local hairdresser. She gets $12.50 and I give her a $3.00 tip. So it's $15.50 each time. She cuts both of my kids hair and also mine. Walt goes to a girl who is an EMT at our local Fire Dept. and used to be our neighbor. I don't know why he refuses to go out to the beauty shop, but oh well. I used to cut his hair for 20 years, but I don't like to do it. So I finally said "enough is enough"

I found a hairdresser that charges $12 for men but $15 for women. I think that's discrimination.....LOL!

But she does a good job on a friend of mine, so I might try her services out sometime. I'm waiting for mine to grow out a bit before getting it cut again. The last person that did it chopped it really good! And that's not meant in a good way!!

Been going to the same barber shop for 30 years. Hair cut, beard trim and tip is $25.00

Haircut $14.00
Beard trip $6.00
Tip $5.00

I hate going to a new barber. When I'm in St. Louis I go to one and hold my breath while she is cutting, won't let her touch my beard.

As a rule about $15, but the last haircut I had was $36, before tip.
But it included a scalp massage, wash, cut and style.

We had eaten out (not my neighborhood) and a nearby plaza had a salon .I took a chance and was quite pleased, although the price was a surprise!

Bert the Barber, in Biddeford, a barber since 1954, charges $6 for a haircut, and I give a $2 tip...

My niece owns a shop and charges 13 bucks. There are some shops that will do ya for 5 or 6 bucks.

My SIL always looks sharp. He got tired of 18 bucks for a trim and bought a set of wahl trimmers and my daughter cuts his hair now.

I pay $20 including tip, lady name Shakira cuts my hair, and insults me at the same time. She is Turkish and she says whatever she thinks, which in my case involves her comments about how much hair she has to cut off my eyebrows, or that she could give my son a good haircut, which he refuses because he doesn't want a hair cut in a place he thinks is for women.

My barber uses barter. She cuts my hair and I give her room and board. And a car, and children, and, .... well, it goes on and on and on! It's worth it, though! :toofunny

I once "wrote" a song, and by pure coincidence, it was when my wife was cutting my hair. Pure coincidence, I keep telling her. ;) It's to the tune of "Blood On The Saddle", sung at Country Bear Jamboree (Disneyland):

Seriously, my wife cuts mine. Walmart charges around 14, though, I think.
