What part in particular bothers you, or is of special concern to you?

A friend sent me the link. She attends this church.

For starters, the whole thing turns me off in a big way. It's all so fakey looking, sounding, seeming. Lots of emotion and no substance.

Then to hear what she's saying too, yeah. I'm a little concerned.

Does anyone know this guy? Who is he?

I go to watching this, she'd sent the link awhile before service started.

Does the UPC really back this stuff? Sure, everyone feels so good..warm and fuzzy... But it's all fake.

I am not going to say it's all fake...

Me thinks it's quite typical UPC.

Wow. And I was considering visiting some UPC churches. I guess I'll skip that idea. If this is typical.....

Not typical perhaps, but have seen it before.

The evangelist for a really great revival I attended in '95was also a prophet. Many people were baptized and received the HG.
As for the prophesy---it was interesting. Not 100% accurate but interesting.

I think he taught at Stockton in the past.

Can it still be called prophecy if it's not 100% accurate?

Nahkoe, I would not want to be the cause of anyone not going to church. I don't go to church because I agree with everything but I go in spite of any disagreements I have.

Just saying while I do not prefer that style, I did not see anything I would class as bizarre or non-typical by Pentecostal standards. Perhaps you saw something I did not.

But seriously! If this is typical Pentecostal/UPC/Apostolic, I just can't go there.

And don't worry, you'd not be the cause of me not going to church. :) I'll take that responsibility for myself for where I do, or do not, go.

It's been too long for specifics, but he did have some accurate pronouncements.

It seems that in their efforts to prophesy over everyone, sometimes in their eagerness they "simplify".
As I recall some words did not prove true, but was the prophesy false or did the individual not follow God's path for them?

What do you mean by *this*? What was happening that you disliked? The broadcast is over now.

There are several archived services, the ones I've skimmed through seem to be more of the same. If you wanna look.

But, it's just...a whole service of nothing but him pointing at people and prophesying over them.

See, I did not think there was a ton of that in the ten minutes I watched - at least not specifics. Just a lot of general stuff and lots of cheerleading is what I saw.

Well yeah, I almost put the prophesying in quotes. It's all a big show.

He points at someone, says something vague, they get happy, he moves on. Um wow. No.

I was more accurate and detailed when I read tarot than he was being.
