1Corinth2v4's Rant & Rave Thread

I'm so upset and frustrated.......(sigh).......

I recently lost 43 pounds and all my suits were too big. I had them all tailored to better fit me, and only two fit perfect! The other three I can no longer wear unless I regain weight. I paid $195.00 for the adjustments and can only use two?

That's just hogwash! :ranting:mad::mad:

I also went and purchased new shirts and denim jeans. Well I guess this stupid world doesn't believe in a decent pair of black jeans. All I see in blue jeans...blue...blue...blue! When I encountered black jeans I liked, they're humongous and have stupid lettering written all over them.:ranting:mad::mad:

That's just stupid stupid stupid stupid!!!!! :ranting:mad::mad:

Well, that does it. I hereby decree that one can only wear black jeans. Anyone wearing blue jeans will be considered trying to look like the world.:muwahaha

If I'd paid that much to have alterations done, I'd have taken them back until the fit was right!!! I used to do alterations on the side, so I KNOW it can be made right if the fit is still too big. Keep sweet spirit, but take 'em back!!!

My seamstress is from Ireland and has a short fuse. They took in the suit from underneath the arms to the bottom of the coat. The back fits perfect but the front is too big. They can't fix that!

What about if I go visit you, and bring with me a 55 gallon drum of whoop butt and pour it on you?

I find black Wrangler's at WalMart - but I guess you fancy city folk can't be bothered with a quality denim fit at a great price.

BTW - W2B!!! on the 43 lbs. That's pretty impressive.

I like loose straight leg jeans. The Levi 569 are too baggy.
I only have new Silver Tab and Perry Ellis jeans. For the love of God, I can't find any other jeans that fit me the way I like! I don't like how Wranglers fit me.....no thanks.

You may have checked already, but for anyone else who can't find 'normal' jeans-try Orschelns or some other farm and home store. They still make the kind you can walk in without having to hoist them up every other step.

Swallow your pride and spend 12 dollars at Wally World and buy a pair of black Rustlers....they feel good look good and wear as long as Levis and Wranglers.

Try 'em on. I used to be strictly a Levis' kind of guy - most of my life. Then when they went ga-ga for a time I tried Wranglers. The Big R carried Wranglers so I felt pretty good about quality. Comfort is the key though - and we're all just a little bit different.

I think you are at an impasse. Gain the weight back.

Have you tried Eddie Bauer classic jeans! Our youngest daughter would
buy her father a new pair on his birthday, on Father's Day and their casuals
for Christmas. Nice fit!

If I choose not to shop at walmart, that renders me prideful? You must be a pastor!

I say find a church to go to that you don't have to wear suits.

If you have to wear a suit to your job, then sorry, maybe someday you will have a job that doesn't require a suit. :thumbsup

Jesus never mentioned having to have special clothing for all of us to get together and worship Him. The Apostles never mention wearing special clothes when they gathered either.

I think some churches don't realize they are "separate" from the Bible and not the world. It is the world that requires suits for some weird image and here the church is adopting this practice? :foottap

Congratulations on losing the weight! :)

However, you should never pay for alterations that aren't perfect. Next time hand the garments back and ask for them to be redone--short fuse or not. :thumbsup Don't be bullied by an Irish woman!!!!!! :D
