Pizza Hut shares CC information

After completing an order on Pizza Hut's web site using a credit card, a button is presented to you to receive $10 off your next order. This button will take you to the Complete Savings web site. Beware............if you do not pay attention and read EVERYTHING and just try to get your coupon, you will end up becoming a member of Complete Savings. They do not explictly tell you after becoming a member that your credit card will be charged $12 a month until you cancel your membership (they probably had this on some page prior to this). IMO, Pizza Hut should NOT be supplying credit card information to a third party. Pizza Hut even states on it's Privacy page that they will do this.

This info was emailed to me by a friend. Beware of what you agree to.

Another tip: you know those ads for free laptops or whatever? Careful what you sign up for there, too. Typically, you need to respond to some "offers", and some of those ask for your phone number. This allows them to bill you through your phone bill for the service, whatever it is. This isn't always made clear!

I think what she's saying is if you pay for your pizza by credit card, then go on to this other thingy, Pizza Hut may pass the c.c. number on to them and you may not even know (unless you read the fine print). So yes, READ before you click!

True, but it is a respectable company that you would not expect to give the information you gave Pizza Hut to another company. And yes it is written that they will do it. But how many people feel the need to read everything from a company they have done business with for a long time? Most don't take the time to. AND most need to be an attorney to read anything of legalease these days. The fine print has gotten ridiculous!

I have ordered online from Pizza hut and Papa Johns both do this and to me it was rather obvious. I just clicked no thanks and waited for the pizza. It's not like the 23 pages of fine print you agree to when you download something from Microsoft.

You're a lawyer! You thrive on fine print! :lol

Not really. Though I did laugh at the "contract" my wife signed for the school she teaches at. Liquidated damages for quitting because they can't calculate their loss. Funny they didn't have any liquidated damages for firing her. The whole thing would be tossed in a court of law, I don't think there was a single line that was enforceable. It looks like they cut and pasted and left out the parts they didn't like, the parts that would have made it binding.

You also have these bone heads that want you to sign a waiver in Virginia even though it isn't worth the paper it is written on. Or even better when we went diving in Virginia and they wanted my 12 year old to sign a waiver of liability. She can't enter into a contract that is binding on her as a matter of law.
