this lady (term used loosely) works in my office on my floor.
My baby sister has seen her and calls her... and I quote...

"G-String Granny"! LOL! because she has seen the womans G-string over her low cut jeans, and above her belly shirt....

and I am NOT kidding, she is OVER 60 and LOOKS IT.

I was at the waterpark with my family a few weeks ago. There comes this lady in a bikini who had to be at least 65 with a couple of places (if you know what I mean) that looked about 19. Something just looked out of place.

Two thoughts on this subject :

#1- as renda stated---------denial
#2- as you age (of course I have no knowledge of this!) your threshold for activities changes.

For myself, I'm paranoid in regard to my appearance. But there are indeed things I might do or say now that I would have never ever said when I was 30.

The aging process alters the sensor for acceptable behavior as it were.
Not that any of this applies to me.:ursofunny

I recall my grandmother discussing topics in her 80's that would never have happened when she was younger.:nah

OK, now you just messed up! You mentioned a Harley.

When it comes to fat, straggly looking, poorly dressed, uglified, "wanna be young again" individuals and you combine that with a Harley, there is nothing worse looking than the pot bellied men that ride them! They may have a fat woman on the back with them or they may have a woman young enough to be their daughter on the back with them. One way or another, such men are disgusting looking!

The gal you have described wouldn't look good in that outfit even if she were 30 or 40.
Regardless of one's age, your clothing should fit! :statbike:

Why do people (male or female) insist on buying clothing 1 or even 2 sizes too small.
Buy the correct size and you'll actually look thinner.
Maybe TLC's What Not to Wear needs to be a required course!:thumbsup

LOL! in this case in addition to not exactly fitting, this particular G-String Granny wants to be 16 again. It is one thing to wear things that fit but there is also a thing called"Age appropreate" attire.

if you are 16 you shouldnt dress like you are a granny. if you are a granny you shouldnt try to look 16...... and niether should look like a hoochie mamma!

If shes Apostolic she should not be wearing pants, and I dont find it amuzing that u are making fun of ppl. Do unto others as u would want them 2 do un 2 u. Wow. I cant see this as being an Apostolic place for Apostolics to talk with each other. Today is my first day on and I am very disappointed. that is u are all Apostolic.

In case this hasn't been mentioned this already, this forum is made up of a wide variety of people. The mix of members comes from past forums that have been online-- and no longer exist; as well as a large number of new members who have joined that were never part of the other forums. This place was created in the beginning to allow those people from the different forums to have a place to keep in touch with friends from those places when those forums closed down. Some members are old time apostolic, some are more leaning charasmatic, some have roots in apostolic churches but no longer attend an apostolic church, some don't attend any type of church at all. There is more diversity in posters here than found on any other apostolic forum. This allows for more freedom in the discussion topics. Sometimes the freedom of discussion is a good thing, other times it's not. All in all, this is a forum that can't be matched anywhere... and there are a lot of good people here. Don't judge a book by the cover. I hope you will stick around and give the place a chance. A lot of new members suffer from culture shock at first, but learn to love the people here-- and make this place a place they visit daily just to hang out with friends.

Let me just give you a heads up.......

This certainly is NOT an online version of your local church fellowship hall.

If you are conservative, or UPC, you will certainly see posts and people here that at first glance (or maybe even every glance after) appear to be anti church, anti Pentecost, anti truth etc. You will find your beliefs in holiness standards mocked and other beliefs questioned.

If you are liberal and "liberated" you will likely think there are to many "ultra cons" here and UPC lovers who need to lighten up and get the "new revelation". You will see posts and people who question your stand or lack thereof on matters of holiness and doctrine.

If you are anywhere in between or are one of the above and have an open mind, you can find many uplifting, informative, interesting, and just plain fun conversations. You may find yourself needing to take a break from time to time as the extremists and folks who love negativity and spreading doubt will grate on your nerves.

If you can "give as good as you get" but with a good spirit and a diplomatic demeanor you can find some good debates and possibly even challenge someones way of thinking, and both of you can see things from a new perspective.

But not everyone here is going to always be nice, open minded, or even seem like a believer, so don't expect the same unity and spirit of your local church fellowship.

There are definite benefits, you just have to know how to sift through the mud to find the gold nuggets.

Well you would think, right? After all its got "Apostolic" in its name., but in
reality it doesn't quite live up to normal expectations, not all topics are
even related to being Apostolic, sorry, and well, its
a choice to either get used to it, or NOT., I have decided like with most
everything else, take the good, toss the rest., you'll find it in most every
forum, because they are all made up of imperfect humans.
Yeah even those whom have been baptized in JESUS name, go figure. ;)
I too when I first came unto Apostolic forums, years ago, had thought them
to be sorta like a virtual church, but reality is quite different as is soon evident.,
still its what you make of it, in the end.
