Backstage Pass - at L & T
 

We are hosting a small conference (limited to about 30 couples) called Backstage Pass in October at our Jackson church. If anyone is interested, you can check it out on our website - www.loveandtruthchurch.com. Go to the Jackson part and click on the Backstage Pass banner. It's a Thursday night and Friday - with teachings by Eddie about church growth and some key principles that we've learned over the years. They Friday night is a Summit service, with all the L & T churches coming together. On Saturday, if anyone wants to stay, there will be teaching/training throughout the day for youth, children, music, etc. - but that's not really part of the conference.

Several people have asked over the past few years for us to do something like this, so we thought we'd try it. We're certainly not thinking that we have all the answers, but we have learned one or two things throughout the past 30 years of ministry. LOL! We've learned all the things NOT to do.

All meals are included, BTW. The fee is $65, and your spouse can come free.

Sherri, sounds like a great idea. I think it is great when people who have been successful at something share the things that have worked for them and the things that have not.

Thanks, and we probably have twice as many of the "have nots" as the good ones. But you can learn from either.

Before I pay the registration fee, I wanna know how many missionaries you are flying in for the conference, whether or not they are trinitarian, and how much of my $65 is going to their airfare!!! ; )

I did hear there will be reel to reel recordings for those interested...ha...

NO!!! NO!!!! Send the money to Brazil instead!!!! Or better yet, go to Brazil and present the same conference there!!! Or bring one minister and teach him so that he can go back and teach others. :reaction:reaction

Speaking of.....I don't know if you ever voiced your thoughts on the "1.2 Million" thread concerning the validity of bringing missionaries to the US, but what are your thoughts about that? You all would have a firsthand view while the rest of us are just bloviating. Do you think it would be helpful or harmful to bring many native ministers from Brazil to the US for a conference?

Woohoo! Backstage starts tomorrow evening! One minister is coming in tonight, and everyone else will start arriving tomorrow. It's gonna be fun and hopefully we can all learn from each other and make some new friends in the ministry.

Grace Amazing and hubby can't come until Saturday morning, but Keith & Elizabeth will be here tomorrow. Can't wait!

If I hadn't gone to the Global conference, I might be there for this event. I know it would be a great time. I pray God's blessings on all that happens!! :D

No, it wasn't even taped, because it was a very intimate setting with lots of questions asked. We didn't want anyone to feel intimidated by recording.
