Salvific

I just wanted that word to be visible every time I look at the Fellowship Hall.

Re: Salvific

hehe So you really fact-checked the word on me?

Always trying to one-up aren't you. It's a great word, and sounds better than "salvational." It's a theology word :)

Re: Salvific

The word "soteriology" is also a good one to use when discussing salvation.

Yeah, I did. Whenever I typed the word, my spellchecker would underline it every time. So I thought, "Hmmm......wonder if Mr. Jeff is using a bologna word on me because if he is, I'm gonna make massive fun of him."

So I looked it up and as it turns out, you're smarter than I am!

Nope, but I DO know how to spell "Honestly." :ursofunny

I knew what it meant as soon as I saw it, but sorry, I'd never heard it. Does that make me an idiot? You pentecostals are just too smart for me!! :)

I'm just glad I posted before you corrected it! :)

I'm pledging to use the word "salvific" 19 times this Sunday.

You could make it a part of your User Title, or put it in your Signature. Then you and everybody else would see it everytime you posted. :winkgrin

Every time I see this word I think it should be the name of some former Soviet block country. A source of excellent vodka but not much else.

Sniffle. I'm hurt.

Speaking of....if you place someone on ignore I know you can't see their posts. But can you see their posts when someone responds to it and quotes it?

I just like the fact that I posted a thread about the word "salvific" and it's gotten two pages of posts!

Yes, you can see it if someone quotes them.

Hmm....that's what I figured. So really, what's the point, I guess? I don't think I'd want to ignore anyone. The old saying, "Stay close to your friends, stay closer to your enemies."

Some posts are so inane they are rarely quoted. ;)

Very true. Fortunately, all my posts are wise, brilliant, well-prepared, convincing, perfect, and filled with humility. :lol
