America's Got Talent

Have any of you been keeping up with AGT?

Well Kevin Skinner won and that is good.

Last night was the results show.

This guy is a truly great story. Watch the 2 videos below. It will be worth your time. Kevin is just an old country boy from Mayfield KY that made it big. When he came on the show he was an unemployed chicken catcher. Now he is a millionaire with a Vegas headline show.

Here is a video of his initial tryout.

Here is a video from last night where they announced that he won.

Thanks for posting this D4T...I missed the results.

I heard on the radio the other day that according to Amazon.com Susan Boyle's album is the biggest selling album in history. And it's not even released yet! :uhoh

Yeah... they were move "Vegasy" IMO. But it was good to see the unemployed country boy get it.

He definitely pulled on heart strings...but wasn't the best singer IMHO. :nah

I think he did his best on the initial audition and seemed to go downhill from there.

I was hoping Recycled Percussion would win. They are reminiscent of the Blue Man Group and would have done well.

They will probably still be picked up somewhere.

Does he also make you want to buy a big red truck that's waving a confederate flag? :toofunny

He is such a sweet & humble man. As you can see by his reaction while waiting to hear who the winner was...he was in tears.

TOTALLY agree with you here! His voice seemed 'shakier' each time I heard him. Like he was extremely nervous and straining his voice.

I'm sure he'll get a voice coach tho, and turn out to sing beautifully, he's got it, it just needs a bit of work.

I missed the week that the Recycled Percussions used the van cut in half. Only saw glimpses from the next show that was looking back at the previous week, but THAT looked awesome! They really gave it their all...so extremely creative!

NO!!! But he has an awesome voice and I did love the sweet and humble side - with tears - that I saw. Hope the industry doesn't crush him. :sad
