Re: Islam on the march in DC - Perspectives
I tried to open the "program" on their site but could not get it to open.
Thought they had it available yesterday. That's strange! Can't even get the www. snopes.com link to open. I posted it yesterday from snopes. |
Re: Islam on the march in DC - Perspectives
Jumah has to start on or after mid-day prayer time which is 1 pm. It has to be over by evening prayer at 4:30 pm. So - between 1 and 4.
Be nice over there baron! It's just a group of people meeting to pray. LOL DISCLAIMER: NOT a promotion but answer given to a direct question that appears to not be included in the posted material. |

Re: Islam on the march in DC - Perspectives
Did someone say we were no longer a Christian nation? Wonder where that con-
clusion came from! I certainly haven't heard the CHRISTIANS saying that! I believe only someone who was something "else" would say that! Not being critical either. If we are not following CHRIST, then WHO!!! Those that are Christ's KNOW HIS NAME! HIS NAME IS JESUS! HE was/is the Anointed of the Father. JESUS CHRIST the same yesterday and today and forever. Heb. 13:8. |

Re: Islam on the march in DC - Perspectives
From a political standpoint it would probably be expedient for the president to let this pass with little to no comment.

I'm not sure what to say...except...we'd best be careful about objecting to the religious freedoms of others in this country, unless we don't mind that being turned around on us when we decide to meet and pray.
"Allah" is the same "Jehovah" the Jews worship; would you object to Jews praying, and call it demonic? |

As for their freedom to practice it. Go ahead. Just don't blow anything up while you are here. |
Re: Islam on the march in DC - Perspectives
Someone mentioned at church yesterday that OB invited them to come and pray. Anyone know if there is any truth to that?

Granted, Muhammad is thrown into the mix, and I get all that nonsense...it's along the same lines as the Mormons who give credence to the Angel Macaroni. :D But when they pray to Allah, I believe they are praying to the same Jehovah as the Jews...what are your reasons for believing otherwise? They also do not trace their worship of God back to Abraham, their ancestry yes, their religion was created by the child molester they call a prophet. We have no argument about freedom of religion. |
Re: Islam on the march in DC - Perspectives
Sura 29:46 “We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you; our God and your God is One, and to Him we do submit”
Sura 3:67 says that Abraham was the first Muslim. The Islamic view is that Judaism and Christianity are the ones with the flawed versions. They think we are correct on some essentials, but wrong on all the important details. Dieu (French) and Gott (German) for God. The Arabic equivalent is Allah. Eloh-im is Hebrew for God and is the cognate of Allah. In Aramaic God is Allaha. Maltese is Arabic-based spoken, predominantly by Catholic people and interprets God is Alla. The Jews and Christians who speak Arabic use the word, routinely, to refer to God. The Copts, which are the Christians in Egypt, do not. The big difference is that they do not believe that Jesus died on the cross. They believe God took him up himself. They do not believe that it was necessary for a price to be paid for our sins. They believe that we bear and pay the price for our own sins. They believe it is unjust for Jesus to have suffered and died for our sins. We believe that we do not have the ability to atone for our own sins and that God's grace is the only means of salvation (Eph 2:8) |

It was more on the lines of his speech to the Muslim world as "motivating" them and not actually "inviting" them. I believe I read that is what Hassen Abdellah, president of Dar-ul-Islam, the organizer is saying. |

The bright side is that I dont need stitches, for once. LOL remember it takes years of kindness to be taken for granted so you are safe yet.
I do not believe that they are doing anything but scheduling the Friday service and Friday prayer in a public assembly area. Sort of like when they scheduled assembly centers etc in the major cities around the country earlier this week for the first morning of eid, the end of Ramadan. I don't know what was worse for BHO - Rev Wright (there's a real winner) or his stepfather's ties to Islam back in Indonesia but I doubt if there is anything political there for him to capitalize on and I seriously doubt if he will even acknowledge or mention it. Pressing-On what you say is true in that all of the beliefs are parallel and based on the same fundamental principles going back to Abraham but Jesus is highly regarded as a Messenger sent from God whose words are included in the law of God but that the law still must be followed to obtain salvation. Sort of a very strict "works-based" belief. Regards Quote:
