I Appreciate AFF!
 

This board, or more accurately, the members on this board have done more to encourage personal Bible study in an attempt to "settle" many of the questions I have had over my Apostolic identity as a Christian.


There are real Apostolics with real questions living in a real world, attending real Apostolic churches where they can't be real without discouraging others or drawing the ire of the folks who seem to "have it all together" in church.


I don't post here as often as I used to, but I am grateful for a place where an Apostolic can come come with real questions and find a variety of answers from real people who use the Bible and their experiences as a source to share from.

I enjoy an Apostolic place where I can be real, expressing my thoughts, opinions, etc that may vary from the Apostolic norm.

That attribute to this Apostolic site is what makes and keeps this site unique.


Please don't change.

I don't think most of us have hidden identities to make friends. Many of us want to talk about this stuff.

I am grateful for a place where a person can come with real questions and find a variety of answers from real people who use the Bible and their experiences as a source to share from.

I'm not Apostolic, but y'all may never realize how important you have been to where I am today, and in turn where I'm heading.

Good thread.

I also enjoy my time here despite the occasional rantings of those who show up every few weeks or few months to loudly proclaim the fall of Apostolic Friends and compare it to the good ol days and how it "used to be". I realize that goils were goils and men were men back then, and we probably COULD use a man like Herbert Hoover again, but personally the modern age has some pluses as well. I think AFF is INVALUABLE as a place were many people can speak who did not have a voice prior to finding the world online.
Just as I said in the Facebook thread, there are dangers but the benefits far outweigh them.
