My grandpa was very high up. as was his father.

I have known several and it is never as whacky as some of these scare videos claim.

My Dad was one and tried to recruit me. Just wasn't for me. I do know that my Dad was not a Satan worshiper. And I know that the Masons do tons of charity work, at least the Shriner branch does.

And I saw a video once where they hid a huge treasure in Washington D.C., but it was found with the help of a map on the back of the Declaration of Independence and a guy being able to decipher their symbols. :ursofunny :ursofunny :ursofunny :ursofunny :ursofunny

Now, now, now Ferd. You SAY there is no neferious connection in your family but if you will recall, several months ago I outed you.
This is a direct quote of our prior discussion on "Could Barak Obama be the Anti Christ?) dated 11-21-08

FERD,
Do not try to cover your connection to all this.
I just did a quick "evaluation" of your name...amazing.
FERD
F is the 6th letter of the alphabet.
E the 5th
R the 18th
D the 4th

Add all these together and what do you get? 33! (How old was Jesus when he began his ministry?)
Take 33 plus the 4 letters in your name equals 37.
Take 37 and divide it by 6 and you get 6.16666!!
The "1" is there just to throw off the "uninformed" because you are the 1!!

And you act as if we are not on to you.

(j/k) :) :)

I was a DeMolay when I was a kid. My uncle George was a freemason his whole life.

Almost all the founders of the US wee freemasons, the most prolific document on the tenets of freemasonry just might be the constitution. It isn't over the top to think of them as the architects of our country.

They are more open and publically active today than they were 200 years ago, more of a civic organization thsn a secret society.

One key to sucees back then was become a freemason. And you had to be of good charachter and be invted and approved, but once in your ticket to good things was carved in stone. Even today my uncle's masonry connections helped him a great deal in his career.

Real ties back to the templars? maybe,i don't know, they were pretty much wiped out by the pope in the 14th century.

I really dig renaissance fairs (how heathern of me) always wanted to go as a crusader templar knight....

Probably one of the best ways to think of the masons is by listening to Ray Stevens song, "The Shriners Convention".

That is one of the best descriptions of that organization that I could recommend!

LOL

Why anyone, especially a Christian, would want to be a mason is beyond me! Maybe its the FEZ or the little mormon aprons they get to wear!!!!!

I don't join anything outside the body of Christ that requires me to come in blindfolded and state that I am in darkness and need light nor do I agree to anything that says I will have my throat cut from ear to ear if I reveal their secrets.

Re: Any Freemasons on AFF

The whole subject of the Masons/Shriners is something that Christians do not agree on. Some Christians belong and do not believe it is wrong. Others see it as satanic, occultic, and a non-Jesus type of religion and being yoked with unrighteousness, darkness, satan, idolatry, etc.

Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

Re: Any Freemasons on AFF

Albert Pike who was one of the founders of Freemasonry was a renowned Occulist.
This is from http://thetruthseeker.co.uk

"The Third World War must be fomented by taking advantage of the differences caused by the "agentur" of the "Illuminati" between the political Zionists and the leaders of Islamic World. The war must be conducted in such a way that Islam (the Moslem Arabic World) and political Zionism (the State of Israel) mutually destroy each other. Meanwhile the other nations, once more divided on this issue will be constrained to fight to the point of complete physical, moral, spiritual and economical exhaustion…We shall unleash the Nihilists and the atheists, and we shall provoke a formidable social cataclysm which in all its horror will show clearly to the nations the effect of absolute atheism, origin of savagery and of the most bloody turmoil. Then everywhere, the citizens, obliged to defend themselves against the world minority of revolutionaries, will exterminate those destroyers of civilization, and the multitude, disillusioned with Christianity, whose deistic spirits will from that moment be without compass or direction, anxious for an ideal, but without knowing where to render its adoration, will receive the true light through the universal manifestation of the pure doctrine of Lucifer, brought finally out in the public view. This manifestation will result from the general reactionary movement which will follow the destruction of Christianity and atheism, both conquered and exterminated at the same time."

Since the terrorist attacks of Sept 11, 2001, world events in the Middle East show a growing unrest and instability between Jews and Arabs. This is completely in line with the call for a Third World War to be fought between the two, and their allies on both sides. This Third World War is still to come, and recent events show us that it is not far off.

Attended a upc church 25 yrs ago and one of the men in the congregation was a mason. Not sure if the pastor knew.

He had been in it before his pentecostal conversion. Once in a gathering at his home he brought out the cool Shiners hat for "show and tell" :ursofunny
