Do you have any idea how much money I spent on cassette tapes of this kind of music? All gone, too bad I can't get them on my ipod without purchasing them all again.

Angelica, Whitecross, Whiteheart, Degarmo & Key, Idle Cure, Rez Band, Allies, Bloodgood, Holy Soldier, Stryper, Mylon and Broken Heart, Shout, I could go on all day.

No, no! The past is great! ;)

It would be different if there was some current music worth listening to, but I can't find any.

I've worn my Allies cds out.

I love rock, my husband loves bluegrass. ;) Thank God for the radios in our respective cars, it's saved our marriage. :D On trips together, we just listen to books on cassette. :D

Allies had two good projects, Long Way from Paradise and Shoulder to Shoulder.

I don't have Shoulder to Shoulder. I'll have to look for that. I have Long Way from Paradise, and The River.

I was not a fan of The River, Shoulder to Shoulder was right before Long way from Paradise. I went to the Long Way From Paradise concert, I think I was in eleventh grade at the time.

Me, too. I've been resigned to being a heathern for years when it comes to music.

During the 80's I thought anything christian was laughable, was into hardcore (79-82) Black Flag, Circle Jerks, DRI, MDC, Articles of Faith, DOA, Bad Brains, SS Decontrol, Gang Green etc; then metal: Motley Crue, WASP, Ozzy, Skid Row, Guns n' Roses, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer etc.

I didn't even listen to Christian Metal till the 90's

Great Sunday School song Timmy.

Do we have an avatar that throws up?

The line about Jesus loving him when he writes silly songs...Jesus should punish him for that.

Remember Rick Derringer? Used to be with the Mcoys. Great big song in the 60's called Hang On Sloopy.

This song is a remake of one of his earlier hits reflecting how Jesus delivered him.
