That excuse has been offered by every makeup-wearing singer for 30 years. Just tell me this....if Steve Epley's wife recorded an album, you think he'd let anyone "touch it up?" That excuse doesn't fly. If she "believes the message" she would NEVER approve of that cover.

I am assuming she's a upcer, or something similar.

I am a truth defender, I am a defender, If you have any of my resplies But make up is not a heaven or hell issue. but it should be done in moderation, by the way my wife does not wear any PS. I use to work in the meat dept. at a national known grocery chain and I asked one time what is done with the out of date meat and bad meat and my manager said it is sent to cosmetic company"s for use as a base in their products.Makes you wonder what some Ladies are putting on their faces doesen"t it.

I have an aquaintance who used to own a butcher shop and he sold all his "scraps" to a cosmetic company, so I know this is true.

Oh wait, no it wasn't.

But still, she is LOADED with it. So tell me, why do all these UPC lady singers have albums with pictures of themselves with several containers of makeup on? It makes the teaching a joke (which it is).

Has anyone listened to the clips of the songs on Youtube? She has a beautiful voice. I think I'm going to buy the CD from PPH since I couldn't find it on Amazon.com.

As for wearing makeup, that is between her and God. Hopefully she is practicing what she believes and not being a hypocrite. I'm not offended by her if she is wearing makeup (and I don't wear makeup) but if she says she is against the wearing of makeup and then does it even if only for a picture............that's what is called hypocrisy and does not glorify God in the eyes of others.

Maybe the picture was photoshopped! (is that the right word for a photo that is enhanced to remove flaws?)

Yes, I did and it sounds like it will be a very good CD. I have another by her. She is a good singer. BTW, I wasn't siding with the idea of her wearing makeup, I was laughing at your comment that she wakes up in the morning looking like that. I was assuming you were being facetious. LOL!

This thread confused me.. so i had to do a fast google to see if it was the same pastors wife. I've run into some of their saints at UPC stuff in Houston when i was there... they are most definately of the conservative cast.

In all fairness, I just saw a pic of her on facebook at General Conference and she looked just like she does on the CD. So maybe, just maybe, she's one of those fortunate individuals who wakes up looking beautiful every morning, without any additional help. Let's give her the benefit of the doubt.

Nah. She had the audacity to put her picture on a CD cover where the whole world could see... besides, if some wacko can get away with calling David Bernard a "nazi" on another thread - what right to fairness does anyone have?

It doesn't matter to me if she does wear makeup, but in that picture it doesn't look like she is, to me. It just looks like a cd cover that was professionally touched up a little.

Here's a closeup picture from her website. Looks natural to me.

Her lips are a different color in that one. And she either had someone photoshop her teeth and did a alpha channel fade or semi transparent fill, or she went to a dentist and had them bleached for the cover.

Sorry, I'm not buying. That face has makeup on it. I just showed the picture to my wife, who is an incredible makeup artists and said, "This is a UPC singer. What's your first impression?" She said, "That's she sure not wanting to look UPC."

I said, "Ok, what's your second impression?" She said, "That she wears makeup."

I said, "Are you sure?'

"Oh yeah."

Maybe we should do one of those polls.

Yes Pel, I'm sure she's a good Christian lady and from what I saw on that Idol thing from Disney, she sounds like a good singer too....although I'm DEEPLY troubled that she knows a Martina McBride song.:ursofunny

Opps...sorry to disappoint...but...
My wife was not wearing "any" make-up. I live with her. I was with her the day the picture was taken. She is indeed the most beautiful woman in the world. Thank you for noticing how perfect she really is. That is why I fell in love with her.

The picture was taken and indeed photoshop'ed by Sis Jamie Johnson (who is married to another conservative pastor - MyRick Johnson). I'm pretty sure Sis Johnson would have had a problem with taking my wife's pic with her wearing make-up. LOL...rofl

The color is "also" touched up and re-sampled by our duplication company. You've rarely seen "true color" on a professional CD. If you did, the color would appear dull and homemade. When our artwork first came out the background looked green (it's brown). We had to send it back for them to print it again.

Concerning the AI video...for "notheadbyworks" who was "deeply troubled"...don't be...it was a small list of all secular songs to chose from. Her reason was "it was the one that sounded most apostolic...(ie. roll stone away") until that particular day at the Disney AI attraction she had only heard a small portion of the song thanks to Sean Hannity's radio show. Other than for weddings she does not sing or listen to secular music. If you knew how much new choir and praise and worship material she goes through in one week you would laugh at that accusation.

Amazed at how much speculation can be made over a small scan of an album cover...some of you guys are hilarious.

For those that enjoyed the album..thank you. All Shara's music (6 albums) can be purchased on Itunes & Napster.

But does photoshopping a picture that makes someone look like they have makeup on give an appearance of evil? If a person is against makeup but the photoshopped pic makes them look like they are wearing makeup, then are they in effect condoning the wearing of makeup and ruining their testimony for Christ?

She is my Pastor's wife and she does not wear makeup. Sister McKee looks like that regardless of when you see her. She is beautiful inside and out and is the kindest, sweetest LADY you will ever meet.
