Another Gloom and doom forecast and....

Seems I read another gloom and doom forecast that said to watch for a major financial meltdown in the U.S. toward the end of this Oct. '09' and this was the closing question [clarification in [] are mine]:

How could you survive - and for how long - if there were market suspensions[Banks close nationally], hold-ups of executions of electronic transactions [think credit card and AMT] and all the other things other countries have gone through when faced with calamitous financial events?

What's you answer? Do you even think it's possible for thhis to happen in the U.S. in this time frame?

Unfortunately, I do believe it can happen. I pray it doesn't, but all I have read and seen does not look promising, unless God steps in with His mercy.

Yes but just what will bloom might be the real question. Most likely it will not be a boom......

I do believe it can happen, but I pray it does not happen. My husband began to prepare for this last year, he is one of these people that training take things to the worse possible scenario , prepare for that and work backward. Anyway, we have pulled enough money to cover a month's expenses out of savings and have it in a safe place. We also have about 3 months of canned goods and dehydrated meals stored. I hope I do not have to eat the dehydrated meals!!!

Some nut that used to be high up in acorn spoke at a convention type meeting on the same stage with Obama. He siad changing the coun try to a marxist nation based on "racial justice" would take three things. The first was a leader capable of pushing the ideology. They got it with Obama.

The second was a financial crisis or collapse so they could make the point that our current system doesn't work and needs overhauled.

A huge collapse, brought on by this dirty President, would not surprise me at all. It is what he and his "community organizer" thug friends want.

I believe it can.

I believe it will.

I believe that few will have much ability at all to prevent a virtual financial free fall.

People will chime in and say that God will take care of them... and He will... but He won't save our stuff. Many will lose faith in God because their definition of God helping means that God will keep them from losing all their fancy stuff.

A heavily debted society... or family for that matter... is set up for a major collision because we have built contrary to God's word and wisdom.

I am sure that the house built on sinking sand was a very nice house with a good view of the lake and the 4th green on the golf course. But... in all it's splendor... it fell anyway.

Speak well!!!!

There is a prediction out there that says by the 25th of this month the collapse will begin. This is based on what they call predictive linguistics of the web. Not sure if they know what they are talking about, but they did call the 700+ dive before it happened. We shall see.

Yes God will see His people through, but you are correct D4T, it might be that we lose a lot of stuff, but that's not always bad. Might just spark a great awakening of the Spirit.

So true... the losing of things is always uncomfortable but it is most always a blessing in the end.

While in the immediate view these things seem like horrible happenings in our lives given time God's wise and wonderful hand proves to be right once again.

I dont think we will see that this month, however with the spending and printing of money and the extended borrowing, we are looking at a serious inflationary situation sometime next year.

This week is HUGE in financial reporting. lots of folk are thinking we go to 10% unemployment and stay there for a while. kind of a soft recovery.

Banks seem to be treading water with no real gains and no more serious losses.

I think we are in trouble. but not for some of the stated reasons in this thread.....

more related to spending/printing money and borrowing.

We have borrowed money to cover our debt. Hello - that just does not make sense to me. It will bite us in the backside one day soon. I know it would have been painful, but I wonder if it would have not been better to bite the bullet last year and not borrow all of that money from China. The job situation has not gotten better. The majority of the jobs are coming from the service industry and government. We are not producing or manufacturing anything. Ferd- I agree- We are headed for some serious inflation soon.

Drudgereport has this headline:
ARAB STATES LAUNCH SECRET MOVES WITH CHINA, RUSSIA, FRANCE TO STOP USING DOLLAR FOR OIL TRADING... DEVELOPING...

Death of the Dollar
Hmmm. Wonder if this will shape up into something no good for the dear USA.....:foottap
