Unrestricted Access to EA For Everyone

Have you all gotten your email that Everyone's Apostolic is now offering unrestricted access for everyone for $0.01 per year?

Are any of you that left going back?

What's the purpose of charging a penny?

Well... the spill from the beginning of the charges coming up has been that they said that they had to do that to keep everyone safe.

I don't know what that is all about but the $0.01 per year is supposed to, somehow, still keep people safe.

I have to assume that my old page is still there since I am getting emails but when I attempt to log in I can't see it because I don't have access.

I think most of those who moved on are now on facebook.

I don't see EA getting back to where it was before.

Most people have moved to Facebook. I doubt many will go back.

I wasn't even there for 24 hrs. They booted me before I could even post! Don't think I'll be walking that "hallowed" soil any time soon! LOL

You kidding? If it's for everyone, that comes to 67 million dollars! They'll be rich! :lol

Between Facebook and AFF, that's enough for me.

Facebook is so much more useful for me than EA ever was.

They charge your credit card or maybe a Paypal account that $0.01 and are able to identify you and every other user.

I signed up for EA for Sarah, because she had some friends on there. However, I never use it--and neither does she--because facebook is so much better. It's free; why would we need to pay for a community when we can have the exact same friends for free?

Yeah, cause you know that the bad people will think, 'one cent a year? I'll go elsewhere to terrorize people...like AFF!"

:D

I am sure the .01 charge is just a way to verify you via way of a credit card. Many sites do this.

Yeah, not going back. FB and AFF are enough for me.

I wonder if EA would un-ban me if I paid?

I'm not returning to EA. Why are they charging at all? Ning is free for them and the adds are still there. not giving them any more info than they already have. Anyhow all my friend s are at FB and we also have fun playing the games. Just ask my 2 sil's ;D

Re: Unrestricted Access to EA For Everyone

it seems like that could backfire... it should actually cost them more to process a .01 cent transation based on their fees from whatever credit card service they use.

Can't go back. They banned me for discussing the fact that Tithing is not biblical for the NT. It was just abotu the only conversation I was really involved in besides meaningless banter and the next day...BANNED!

I was banned as well. But then I was invited back. I was there for a bit, then left.

I see...I use my debit card to pay 1 cent and end up paying more for using my card.....wait I got it! Someone there will use my card fraudulently to buy up remaining copies of David Bernard's "The Oneness of God"!

My brother works for a credit card processor... and according to him, credit card transations typically cost the vendor several cents each (I'm thinking like .30 or .40 if I remember correctly)... this is why that many places, especially small mom and pop shops do not like to take credit cards for less than a certain amount (ie $5.00 minimum purchase for credit card transations).. this ensures that they are making enough profit to cover the cost of the credit card transaction. YOU are only paying .01 cents... but the vendor may end up paying $.30 to make the .01

Well, they better hope that not everyone (6.7 billion people) signs up!
