Alvear's in Sandusky - awesome time!
 

We were so privileged to have Raul, Janic & Alexandro Alvear with us in both services this morning. We were also delighted to have Margie, Walt & Keith as well who came over from Toledo! We had an awesome time in worship, especially in the 9am service and the Alvear's ministered.

More wonderful people you will not meet! Sis. Alvear had our folks in tears as she was telling incredible stories of Brazil and the miracles of God! Bro. Alvear sang "How Great Thou Art" and had us on our feet worshipping! What a blessing it was to finally get to meet these wonderful folks and see and hear of their work in Brazil. I gave Sis. Alvear a special gift which she can tell you about!

From the moment we met these folks, we knew they were special and I am so glad to have met them and fellowshipped with them. I am looking forward to a trip in the future to Brazil!

MOW, I am glad that your church was blessed by their ministry. I know Tamor and I were greatly blessed when we got to be in service with them in Ripley, MS.

They really are wonderful people... I look forward to getting to be in service with them again sometime when they are at a church close to where I live.

I have to tell you, folks - this was the greatest day! What wonderful people!! God gave us some great people here on AFF when he blessed us with Sis Alvear and with MOW. They just don't come any finer than these folks!

The service as so good! Bro Alvear blessed us with his amazing singing. It was worth driving that distance JUST to hear him sing! Seriously! And Alex - oh my! That man can play that piano!!! WOW!!!! Then the icing on the cake was Sis Alvear speaking from her heart. I'm telling you, if someone walked away from that service untouched, it was because their heart is made of stone. That's the only way that could have happened. When she told the story of Gabriel, her grandson, the tears were running down my cheeks. And I'll tell you, if you didn't believe that they loved the Brazilian people just from what she has posted on here, you would have to believe it after hearing her speak. WOW!! WOW!!! WOW!!

MOW, you were definitely looking at a miracle when you saw Walt :) We've gone to a couple of churches now, as well as to a LifeFlight Convention, to tell his story. If you would ever like us to share it with your church, we'd be happy to come over and do that. The whole point is for GOD TO GET THE HONOR DUE TO HIM :)

Well, well...we were the ones that were blessed! I am going to post my special blessing in a few minutes...We had such a great time...2 services...lunch at Olive Garden...thanks Margie and Walt and Keith...Pastor Adams and family could not make it he had a class of new converts already scheduled...My he is a man of amazing strength.
We were very tired and we thought we had to be in a night service and after we got on the road we found out a mistake had been made and we pulled in for the night...Have been on the phone to folks in Brazil and they too reported great services...be back in a little while...

Sis Alvear, I'm so glad to hear that you had the night off last night. When we got home and sat down, Walt said to me, "I can't imagine that the Alvear's are in church again right now. I am ready for this day to come to a close and settle in for the evening." I had to agree with him :)

But, did you drive all the way to Akron for nothing then? Weren't you headed for Indiana today??

Absolutely! I'd already met Margie a couple years ago (has it been that long already??), and she is very sweet. I'd love to see her again, but I've not been in her area since I saw her.

Someday, I'll meet her 'sister'. LOL!

And seriously, if I'm going to look like anyone - I couldn't pick a finer person to look like if I tried. Sis Alvear is truly beautiful inside as well as outside. We are privileged to have her here with us on AFF.

We are in BRAZIL, Indiana...having a great time with ole friends...
Yes, we were so tired....sometimes a mixup in the schedule is a blessing! Tonight I speak for a UPC church and Brother Alvear speaks at an independent church. Tomorrow we head for 2 nights in Ky and a couple nights in Tn. then on to my ole stomping grounds...Arkansas...after a few stops in Ark we head for a Spanish Conference where Brother Alvear is one of the speakers. Finishing that we head to Brazil.

Last night we were in a service where I used to preach when I was single! Our son is so amazed to see the bond of the family of God that we have maintained for over 41 years. God is so good.

Now Hoovie...We've got MOW, Sherri, and Margie on the striaght and narrow waiting for your visit so we can get you folks there too...ha...love and blessings...

Diane is not a great traveler. She has never traveled with me overseas. The longest trip she took with me was when I took her to Hawaii! Most of the trips I take overseas would not be good for her since the accommodations are usually less than desirable.......almost like camping and Diane does NOT do camping!!! LOL

She is welcome to come to my house anytime. The Lord blessed us with a nice home through the gift of a friend and my doors are open to all that would want to visit. My sister does not do foreign countries loved it at my home. Just tell me ahead of time what she likes and does not like and we will do our very best for her to relax and have a good time.
