Ferd’s rules for toys

1. You only have two hands. You do not need more than two toys.
2. Toys that make noise are not toys.
3. Toys that can be tripped over need to go in the trash
4. Toys that hurt when you step on them are weapons and children should not play with weapons.
5. If I can see it when it is put up, you have more toys than you can put up so it needs to go away!
6. Toys from Grandparents should be kept at the grandparents house!

Does anyone think Ferd gets to live by his rules? LOL!

I have in the past, and will continue to, use toys as a revenge mechanism. Friends, relatives and brethren who do something that ticks me off during the course of the year WILL experience a toy or toys for their kids at xmas that WILL violate most of your ruleset and then some....

Yes, I have a list...

Toys should come pre-assembled, and should not have 6 trillion staples and ties holding them prisoner in the box.

Tonka trucks are the best with plenty of noisy buttons.

I remember having a cast iron tractor... that was about it. I don't know if it's delayed envy or what - but I hate those plastic toys that make noise and flash and beep etc. LOL!

I had 2 cast iron tractors and a toy gun my dad carved out of a 2x4.

I also had a metal ring that I found on the farm and a stick that I would use to hit the ring and make it role.

upon occastion I would play with an empty green bean can kicking it around the yard.....

my kids have no idea....

My wife and daughter both volunteer at the local tommy toy fund thing. Last year they gave out toys to 9,000 kids. This year is going to be interesting, record number of requests, not a record number of donors.

The program is blessed because a local guy who owns a number of properties and businesses sends people to a toy show in vegas every year where they buy thousands of toys for pennies on the dollar.

What good is a toy gun? I was running around with a BB gun when I was 5. Until I got in trouble for trying to open a shot gun shell with a nail. I had ran out of ammo for my BB gun and someone had told me that the shot gun shell was full of them.

LOL! well guns are different!

I got my first gun .22 when I was about 7 or 8. got my first shotgun when I was strong enough to hold it up... 9 or 10?

Love that gun. Model 1100 Remington .20 gage.

Alas, my sons arent going to have that kind of fun. They live in the big city.

I did have a BB gun when I was really little. Ive blocked out those memories so THANK YOU FOR BRINGING IT UP

when I was about 6 I shot out the sliding glass door in our trailer (YES I LIVED IN A HOUSE TRAILER) in the dead of winter.

Thank you Baron for making me relive the consequences of my actions! LOL!

That's funny. Though I bet it wasn't at the time. One time there was a window of a car shot out at my grandparents house, there were several cousins with BB guns and somehow I got blamed.

I got a .20 gauge when I was 12. I also bought a .30-.30 when I was 13. Still have both of them and have added to the collection some since then. My daughter who is 12 was asking for a rifle the other day, hmmm seems like a good idea to me!!!

That's true. I just found a pirate hat in the carpet the other day. Don't know how the vacuum cleaner missed that. It's been there since July! - the last time we had kids over here playing with them. I stepped in just the right spot to find it! LOL!
