This is part of an ongoing debate between myself and a man by the name of Mark Aponte(youtube username October31st1517). He calls all who don't hold to the doctrine of the trinity "heretics", and seems to go out of his way to enflame people(a kindred spirit, right?) He stated that Jesus is 100% God, so I asked "Is God 100% Jesus?" After over a year he finally responded with "Jesus is all of WHAT God is, but He is not all of WHO God is. I contend this position makes Jesus less than 100% God, because I see God as a Being. If one sees God as a nature or species, Mark's position makes sense. I am all of WHAT Homo sapiens is, but I am only one of over 6 billion of WHO the species is. And of course there is only ONE Homo sapiens species. Just a thought.

You're not with me on the theology, so do you believe God is a Nature, and not a Being? As far as the guitaring, let's just say I learned a lot with an axe strapped to me for about three years, unfortunately there was usually a cigarette(tobacco and otherwise), hanging from my mouth and a bottle of JD on the table, but Jesus set me free from all of it, except the rocking, of course.

Hey, Mark(October31st1517) is a five point Calvinist, and these lyrics just came to me:

Don't need Baptism,
In Jesus Name,
There aint nothin' that I gotta do,
Goin' down,
To the flames,
and John Calvin's gonna be there too.............I'm on the Highway to.....Highway to...

This is why Oneness Pentecostal will never be accepted as Christians. Because they constantly tell everyone else they are going to hell.

Uh oh. That's not a very nice song. Funny thing.....I was thinking, "Hmmm.....sounds like "shook me" but he's a little off there." Guess that's why he sounded off. That "other" song?? I'm WAY too spiritual to be familiar with it! :lol

Don't EVER get set free from the rocking!!!!

Theologically, I'm not with you in making any kind of issue out of the oneness/trinitarian thing.

It's a joke, get it? A JOKE! You should try seeing the humor in things. By the way, Mark has told me he is trying to get me to see the "truth" of trinitarianism, because if I continue believing in Oneness, I'll end up in hell, because I'm obviously a "heretic". This is part of an ongoing conversation between him and me. Mark and I have a relationship like "Hey my brother, good to see ya, ya ole heretic! Still on your way to a Devil's hell? Well, let me try to help you out, let's look at this Scripture......."

Good idea. It gets tiresome. I have many trinitarian friends (even, Gasp!, in our Church) that I love dearly. As long as they agree that I'm serving the same God they are, we're cool. Mark, however, says i'm serving a false Jesus, a false God, and I'll burn for eternity unless I see the truth of the triangle. I still love him though, cause he's a headbanger too.

I am hoping you liked playing the chords to that AC/DC song, more than sending a message...on the highway to hell?

Yep. In fairness, there are a few radical trinitarians who say the same about oneness people, but when anyone attaches eternity to an interpretation of "Manifestations" vs. "Persons", or "Eternal Sonship" then we've focused on a hood ornament and forgotten about the car.

Oh, ok. Then in that case, I'm pretty much right there with you and now I like your guitaring even more!! You need to come play with our church band!

Maybe you have a point. Just be glad your buckeyes aren't playing an SEC team in the national championship again.

I am with you here... well sort of. It's more than a hood ornament - I would say the car has moderate body damage when the theology is tweaked in the mentioned areas. But bear in mind all cars have a few scratches!!

Here is a theory for you to disregard completely. I think OSU and other Big 10 teams have problems in bowl games vs. the SEC because SEC teams are built to play in the nice southern weather or the domes in which all the big games are played. They are the Ferraris of college football. Superior breakneck speed. The Big Ten teams are built for the snow, the ice, the rain and the mud that we enjoy here in the midwest. They are College Football's Hummers. On a nice, dry, straight, paved highway, the Ferrari leaves the Hummer sitting every time, but in the icy, snowy mudbogs, the Hummer is victorious, and the Ferrari is probably unrepairable. I say we start having National Championship games in Lambeau Field or Foxboro Stadium, and see how quickly the tables are turned. This could just be my excuse for some sad performances, but it has helped me sleep at night the past few years.

At least it's more sensible than blaming the refs ;) Personally i stopped liking osu a few years ago when i felt they were way overrated every year. But, I can't say much, Virginia Tech (my favorite team) has been overrated the past few years also.

Actually when we won the National Championship in 2002 I had to thank the refs!:thumbsup
