Dear AFF,

Dear AFF,

Just a little note to say that I am thankful you exist. The three years I've spent with you have been educational, emotional and mostly wonderful.

I am thankful for my God, my family and my church. I am thankful for good health and happiness. But, on this day, I didn't want to leave you out of my things to be thankful for.

I have met several of you in person, and I talk to a host of others, via phone, on a regular basis. I treasure our friendship and value the contributions you've made to my life.

Please know that your cards, letters, calls and overall support of my person and ministry are greatly appreciated. I don't take you for granted at all.

If ever any of you ever need a shoulder to lean on, just pm me, and I will send you my cell number. In this crazy world I am learning to treasure every friendly word, and every kind face, more and more.

Be Blessed, and Happy Thanksgiving!

Edward

Re: Dear AFF,

Edward, you said it well. Thank you, brother. I am grateful that you are a part of our little "family" here on AFF also. I appreciate your contributions. But most of all, I appreciate your heart. Whether we agree or not isn't even important. You have a heart to serve the Lord. That's good enough :)

Thanks, Edward. Hope you had a great day, and God continues to bless in your life.

I really appreciate this forum, and the people on it, as well.

It's been a while since I read a post that brought tears to my eyes. Someone hand me some kleenex. I am also thankful for AFF. I don't know what I'd do without all my prayer partners here.... I am so very thankful for the friends I've made here, even though I may never have the chance to meet some of you in person.

Boy, Tina, there is a truth worth repeating!! I know how much I depended on everyone here thru Walt's ordeal. Now I consider it an honor and a privilege to be able to pray for the needs of my friends here on AFF.

I'm with Edward. One of the things I am most thankful for this Thanksgiving Day has been all of you here on AFF. I love yous even tho most I've never met and probably could walk right past on the street and not even know it. Sure wish we could change that :)

Re: Dear AFF,

I love you too, Ed.

Consider yourself 1 Thessalonians 5:26'ed.

Pass the turkey and the tissues.

Amen.

Re: Dear AFF,

I am thankful for Ed, everyone else here and AFF in general! Iron sharpens iron, the scripture declares and I can honestly say that I'm a better person simply because of my involvement in AFF. It's the interaction, having to think more deeply, being challenged both intellectually and in interpersonal relationships that stretches us. Some don't like that process and "pull the rip cord" too quickly. That is why those folks rarely grow. I'm far from "grown" but I'm working on it and the Lord is patient with me in the process. Viva AFF!!!!! :D

May I join in and say I am so thankful for my sweet family here...It is here I unload many of my burdens, express myself...talk of the love of my life...(the mission field) and you folks put up with me...
Thanks so much for being a real friend...Like a couple of my kids said when Sherri stopped by to see us...wow, Mom see didn't come to check us out...she just came to be a friend...thanks for being a friend...

Brother Ed,

From my point of view, you are among the growing list of "Apostolic" preachers that "get it"! Having your beliefs and ideas challenged by "friends" with a similar background can make you stronger.

Thanks for your challenging posts that make me think! I'm glad that you're part of the AFF family. :)

Dear AFF Members,

We are thankful for you! The members are what makes AFF, so without you there would be no AFF.

Love,

Re: Dear AFF,

Some may not have been on AFF back when this thread was posted but it just
goes to show that AFF has been and continues to be important.

http://www.apostolicfriendsforum.com...ead.php?t=8651

Just because it not important to some, doesn't mean it could not be a lifeline to
others!!
I love everyone on AFF, even though we don't always see eye to eye on every-
thing. We may not agree on everything, but we had better love one another.
My late father used to teach that if a man and wife couldn't love each other as
husband and wife, they were commanded to love as enemies. If we don't have love,
we don't have GOD! For God IS LOVE! We should love with the Love of God shed
abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost. If we don't have that love in our hearts,
could it be that we don't really have the Holy Ghost!! Just a thought!! The more we
have of GOD, the more LOVE we have! For GOD IS LOVE!!!!
