Foot surgery tomorrow

Hey, Friends!!

Just want to ask you to please remember me in prayer tomorrow morning at 8:00. I am having surgery on my right foot at that time. It is outpatient surgery. I will be in a cast for the next 2 to 4 weeks then and after that a removable cast for another 4 to 6 weeks.

Thanks ahead of time. I appreciate all of your prayers.

Thank you all for your prayers - those who posted that you were praying, as well as those who simply prayed. I truly appreciate you!!!!

Things went very well today. The doctor told Walt and my mom that the spurs had "grown into my aechilees tendon, so he had to really work to get them out. He had to cut the tendon and then re-attach it. That will mean quite a bit of extra healing time. :( Right now, my leg is in a cast up to my knee. I have 2 different pain meds to take. I've taken one, but it's not doing a whole lot of good. So I'm not sure how many more I'll take.

After this cast comes off, then I have to be in a removable cast for another 4-6 weeks.

I'd appreciate your continued prayers. You all are the greatest group of people on the entire internet!!!!! I love you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Will continue to pray, Margie. I am glad all went well. As someone who suffers with chronic pain; be sure to take your pain med. at the first sign of pain. Don't wait until the pain worsens. The meds don't work as well that way. PLEASE take care and take it easy. Love and appreciate you!!!

Prax, YOU could make a dumb joke. I would not be offended by you. I think I know you well enough after all these years to know that you wouldn't have made it in meanness :)

Margie be careful- I just had a friend go through this surgery in July- She put too much weight on her foot while it was in the cast and the wound was damaged. She spent 5 months going to a wound doctor and off of her foot. She has not gone back to work yet. Be very careful while your foot is in the cast.

Thank you for the advice, BBY.

I laughed at the doctor before the surgery. He told me that I have to walk because if I don't, I risk getting bloodclots. THEN he said, but I want you to keep this elevated as much as you can to avoid swelling. I laughed and said, "Ok, so which is it? Walk? Or elevate? WHICH do you want?" LOL
